"Who's Crazy Enough to Oppose Obama in 2012?"

Have you wondered why no one within the Republican establishment seems to be eager to step up and occupy the massive leadership void within the GOP?   The situation almost reminds me of the scene in Ghostbusters when the electrician shuts down the Containment Grid . All the so-called shining stars of the GOP, displaying their fake politician smiles, seem to be quietly stealing away up the staircase.   Even Sarah Palin, after her profound “Death Panel” statement has pulled back, it appears. Cautiously returning to safe, less controversial ground on her Facebook page. And look at Newt Gingrich! Newt is now saddled up with Al Sharpton and Obama’s Education Secretary on a multi-city, hand holding, feel good tour.   And, of course, Gingrich is fully on board with the most radical global warming whacko’s and has even apologized on behalf of the Republican Party to the world community for “our failure to lead” in this radical, anti-capitalist, environmental movement. There is no better demonstration of Newt’s duplicity than by observing his now defunct “Drill Here/Drill Now” initiative. Newt set this in motion knowing full well that the entire concept would be impossible to implement. Why? Because Newt’s own radical environmental whacko buddies use the courts to block almost every major domestic oil production initiative. Newt’s too smart not to have known that.

So what is Newts motivation for being a duplicitous double-dealer? Is it purposeful? Malicious?   No, no, no - not in my view. Newt and other GOP moderates (John/Meghan McCain, David Frum, etc.) have taken this “inclusiveness thing” far beyond any sane boundaries. Inclusiveness is good but lets be reasonable. Would you go out and embrace a diamond back rattlesnake? Or include it in your family outings? How about emptying a bag of them out at the next CPAC meeting?   Were it only possible for me to encounter these GOP moderates, grab them by the lapel, slam them against a wall (metaphorically speaking) and in my best Sam Kinison howl/bawl explain to them, “NO! You can’t include and be buddies with Constitution-hating, anti-capitalist, left-wing, transnational progressives!!! They’ll take you down!!!”   And they have. Gingrich and these other GOP moderates have lost much of their credibility.

So who then? Again, Palin seems to be pulling back. I suspect Todd and the family are applying pressure behind the scenes . And who can blame them. They’ve suffered enough at the hands of the sinister left. I do expect Palin to help out and campaign for the nominee whoever that is. What about Jindal, Huckabee, Pawlenty and Romney? Yawn, yawn. Freakin’ YAWN! No! The Conservative electorate is in no mood for any candidate that even appears to be connected to the GOP Hierarchy. Carefully clipped and groomed by them to one day be their hand-picked, goody-2-shoes nominee. Measured, dulcet tones, genteel rhetoric and always willing to meet our friends on the other side of the isle with a warm smile and handshake. No! There remains a massive distrust between the Conservative Base and the GOP establishment, make no mistake.     The GOP had best understand that they’re not going to slip another moderate or even semi-moderate in on the Conservative electorate such as they did with McCain. The Base fully understands what happened in ’08 and how the GOP Hierarchy, the democrats and the MSM manipulated the primary process to force candidate John McCain upon us.   And the Base won’t be fooled again, be assured. The conventional/traditional GOP type of candidate really has no chance. They’ll be laughed off the stage. Again, the Conservative Base is in no mood for games.

Well then, who among potential GOP candidates would be considered as non-conventional/non-traditional? Who out there among the Republican establishment is stepping up? Taking a leadership position? Speaking out with unrestrained passion and conviction? Throwing political correctness to the wind? [crickets chirping] Ok, need a little more time? Here: (Jeopardy Music) And finally: (game show buzzer). There are none. All available candidates are overly cautious. Playing it safe. Clueless and concerned with protecting their own little patch of turf. They’ve made no effort to re-connect with the Conservative Base nor have they cared to analyze what went wrong on 11/7/06 and 11/4/08. And they don’t deserve, in their present state of dysfunction, to win on 2010. And without winning back the House or Senate (or both) in 2010 there will be little hope for 2012. Obama and his band of Chicago thugs are not like Clinton. They fight ultra dirty and they’re playing for keeps. Long term.

Alright, if there are no GOP establishment types out there that are acceptable to the conservative electorate, then again, who?   ‘Who?’ seems to be the major question that conservative voters are posing to each other. Sounding like a bunch of barn owls.   No leader seems to want to align themselves politically with our ultra massive block of extreme patriotic Civic Nationalists/Civic Conservatives! Oh, certainly the afore mentioned GOP candidates want our votes, yes sir. But keep us at arms length, please. Not wanting to get too close to us - the unwashed masses. And once elected, rest assured that they’ll put even more distance between them/us and can’t wait to do so.

So that leaves us only one option. The responsibility falls on the shoulders of Movement Conservatives.   We must look outside of the GOP establishment and choose our own GOP candidate. Even if we have to write them in on election day! We must find someone who understands that, in order to win, they must drastically depart from the conventional/ traditional GOP political process because they’ll realize that true leaders are now excluded/locked-out of that process in its present state. They’ll know what has to be done and will steer clear of the well traveled political thoroughfares, rigged with ied’s, landmines, booby traps, trip wires and snipers from nearby treetops – metaphorically speaking, of course. This individual will also be aware that in the reclaiming of the GOP for its rightful owners (the Conservative Base) that the worst enemy will “not” be the democrats or MSM. No not the ACLU or ACORN, either. Or the women from The View. The most aggressive adversaries will come from our own deeply rooted GOP Hierarchy and its wicked, long established, miscreant donors who have fought with ruthless abandon to maintain the status quo. A mission that is actually more important to them than winning elections.

You ask, “who would be loony enough to take on a task like that? They’d have to be completely loco. Yet they’d have to simultaneously have a vision. Oh, and name recognition, too. Must be a branded, household name. Already “tried by fire” – heavily scrutinized by the media and other elements. And, lastly, they’d have to be “willing”. Willing to throw caution to the wind and toss their hat in the ring.”

Tall order but I think I have someone in mind. And I, too, think he’s crazy enough to do it. Let me know what you think. Here’s my pick:

·        Shovel Ready…

·        All wee-wee’d up…

Folks let’s start this locomotive movin’ down the tracks. Glenn Beck 2012.

From This Point: No Further Obligation to the Mainstream Media...

Something has happened to the political landscape that most potential conservative candidates aren’t even aware of yet. An astonishing, unintended “change” has occurred that will give candidates from the Right a definite advantage if they choose to take it. A definite grand chink in the Left’s armor. Apparently the impact of this astonishing permutation of the political process has gone completely unnoticed by Movement Conservative political types. Too bad because if these same choose to grab hold of this advantage (and if they do it correctly) it will free them up from much of the literal bondage of being a contemporary conservative politician.

So what is this significant “thing” that has happened? Simple, the biased, autocratic, domineering Main Stream Media (MSM) has clearly given away its position and, as a result, they can no longer be called objective or respectable. They’ve not only crossed the line but have pole vaulted 15 feet beyond what is even considered detestable.     “What, Dowdy?” you say. “you’re telling us something we’ve known for years.”   True, but the difference is that today, there are literal volumes written that prove, and expose, without a shadow of a doubt, the hatreds and prejudices that the MSM have for Conservatives.   It’s no longer just the lone, pioneer voice of Limbaugh talking about it on the radio. It’s now categorized and documented by a myriad of learned experts and available for any conservative politician to reference. Proof, at their finger tips. Now the possibility of a surprise ambush by the MSM is greatly minimized.  This is huge. Conservatives can now make a legitimate case for a major break in relations with the various elements of the MSM. An argument that a large majority of the voting populace will accept and understand.

So, what does this mean?   Is it now time to go on the attack? Hit the MSM head on? Kick them where it hurts?   No!  We can learn from beloved former Washington State governor, the late Dixie Lee Ray who took a confrontational strategy with the state media. When a pet pig had a litter of piglets, she even went so far as to name each of the piglets after some of her worst adversaries in the press. Dixie Lee was a brilliant scientist but she made some serious missteps in her handling of the media which cost her a re-election. Dixie was a no-nonsense gal, God rest her soul.   Not enough like her, sadly.

Were I advising a contemporary conservative politician vying for a high public office, I’d tell them to take a look at how ** Danish politician, Fogh Rasmussen handled the situation when an aggressive, left-leaning member of the Danish media began to pressure him to grant an interview. In reality it was nothing but an ambush and Fogh knew it. But he didn’t counter attack. No, Mr. Rasmussen made a simple public statement: “it is an infringement of my personal freedom if I, myself, may not decide who I will speak to on a day to day basis”. Surprisingly, that was the end of it. Fogh simply ignored them, stuck to his principles and kept quiet.   I’m sure he then focused on his constituents. Perfect! A simple, respectful refusal – and then ignore them. Tune them out! Stop rewarding their bad behavior with interviews!

When a conservative grants an interview and they know they’re going to be bushwhacked (I think of Glenn Beck-The View & Palin/Couric) they’re not accomplishing anything for the right. Even Gen. Custer thought he could win at Little Big Horn. Conservatives know they’re going to get clobbered yet they stoically walk in to this ambush as if its their duty. The only effect of such action is to fuel these msm assassins and give them another day of legitimacy.

The MSM considers itself a legitimate and legal part of that process. When in fact they’re nothing more than a business trying to make money and they’ve been given far too much access. They’re neither elected nor appointed. They have no more rights than any other business other than their individual right to vote.    But they won’t see it that way. Which is why any conservative politician who attempts to quietly banish them from “our side” of the political process will set off an unprecedented political firestorm.

Politicians can learn from Riot Police. Riot Police are taught to keep their fear, anger and emotions under control. Not an easy task when being verbally attacked by a mob. Only when the rioters cross a certain line and actually assault the police, are they allowed to retaliate. Until then, they remain emotionless and silent with plexiglass shields locked. The tuning-out and expulsion of the MSM from the conservative side of the political process will cause an intellectual riot of sorts.  Depriving these spoiled MSM brats of what they think they’re entitled to will cause the expected destructive conflagration. Something to definitely be prepared for. There may even be some small skirmishes. Extra security might be required for restricted conservative functions so that disruptions don’t occur. We’ve catered to these Constitution-hating leftists far too long and they’ve become accustomed to having their way. But it is the MSM, through their own misconduct/bad behavior that have forfeited these privileges. Privileges are not rights and can (and in this case should) be taken away.

What would be the positive effects of this sort of decisive and courageous action on the part of Movement Conservatives?   Think of the time spent by Conservative politicians preparing for the hostile gauntlet that they require themselves to run through every political season. They must shift their focus away from the Conservative Base and give rapt attention to the enemy in the MSM. They must become as “walking encyclopedias”. With knowledge and the correct pronunciation of every little tinhorn dictator around the world and the tiny nation they lord over. They’re required to know minute details on all subjects or risk looking foolish on national TV. The irony is that the vicious MSM will see to it that they look foolish anyway. No matter how well prepared they are. Can we remember the ’08 GOP debates and the generally goofy questions? The time it takes to maintain this charade totally shifts the politicians focus away from connecting and bonding with the actual voting Base! Exactly as the Left has designed and implemented it!   Such a tragedy that Conservatives have repeatedly fallen into this trap and allowed themselves to be manipulated to this extent.  Far too long.

Whoever decides to pursue the 2012 POTUS should consider a departure from the traditional/conventional forms of campaigning and that will also include banishment of the MSM. Going straight to the populace or working through “friendlies” of which there are ample, is a viable alternative. Conservatives can learn much from the mistakes of Fred Thompson . They will need to skirt around the Left’s Maginot Line. A new “Tea Party” brand of candidate should also avoid, like the plague, the well traveled thoroughfares that other GOP candidates choose to travel upon. These wide avenues lined with trip wires, booby traps and snipers peering down from tree tops.   A Non-traditional type candidate can reach, in plenty of time, the same destination by traveling off road along dirt roads and game trails. Metaphorically speaking, of course.

U.S. Workers to Sarah Palin: "Be Our Advocate"

(I remain skeptical about Sarah Palin, as I do w/all politicians. What she says now sounds much like what McCain has said and I want no part of that. The one thing, however, that continues to intrigue me about her is the fact that 3 major political groups continue their full frontal assault on her.  The MSM, the dem's and the GOP Hierarchy. I have to ask myself, "why?")

Many currently say that John McCain made a “dreadful mistake” by choosing Sarah as his running mate. He did. But not for the reasons one hears being bantered about by the MSM and other political punditry (both right and left). They and the GOP Hierarchy have already proclaimed Sarah as a loser and have tossed her into the political trash heap of history laughing and exchanging high-fives. ( link )   And make no mistake, the GOP elitists want to destroy Sarah every bit as much as the MSM and the democrats. Because they realize the “dreadful mistake” they made by giving Sarah prime time national exposure.   To their horror, they realized early on that despite their best efforts to transform her into a lukewarm moderate - something from her inner self continued to shine through. No matter how hard they tried to fit her pert round head into a square hole, well it just wasn’t going to happen. The genie had been let out of the bottle and they tried desperately and unsuccessfully to recapture her.

Why would these pompous GOP elitists work so hard to contain and control such a lightening rod? To pull back on someone who so attracted, excited and enthused the electorate?    Because the political establishment in both major parties have worked very hard over the past 2 decades to ensure that the electorate accepts whatever moderate slop is fed them. And they’ve been somewhat successful. You see, success in their eyes is not always measured by winning elections but in maintaining the status quo. And much of that is dictated by those who donate/fund these political parties. And party members. The actual winning of elections is way down on their list of priorities, honestly. Especially among and within Republican elitist circles.

And “Sarah Unleashed” poses a serious threat to that status quo. Because Sarah, like Ronald Reagan, has an obvious affinity, appreciation and empathy for Mom and Pop Middle America. The working class. A forgotten class that she, like Reagan, came out of.   A Middle Class that is threatened because, you see, social planners, engineers and philosophers from both political persuasions have a dirty little secret. They’ve long concluded (among themselves and behind locked doors) that the U.S. can no longer sustain a strong middle class and simultaneously be part of the “global village”.    And they don’t want someone, like Sarah, coming along churning up their pool of stagnate bilge.

The present administration is efficiently and gleefully disposing of a half million private sector jobs per month. And that is a source of extreme concern for Middle Americans. Because after God/Family/Country comes their 4th priority – their jobs. Their livelihood. This is what keeps them and their families independent and self-sufficient.

What is the most horrid thought that keeps Middle Americans pacing the floors at night? It is a reoccurring nightmare featuring themselves, standing in a long line at some government agency for hours, just to collect some measly government check and an envelope full of food stamps. Then going home to their government housing project via some form of public transportation.

We occasionally hear some slight noises coming from the Republican camp regarding “jobs” but with Republicans, its never known whether they mean jobs for U.S. citizens or jobs for illegal aliens. Over the past 8 years they’ve preferred the latter. The trust factor between the GOP and the conservative Base is non-existent, as a result.

Sarah Palin: U.S. workers and their families need a strong and vocal advocate! Especially unrepresented, non-union workers.

When you speak of domestic drilling don’t drone on about the need to be free from the dependency on foreign oil. No! Speak of the hundreds of thousands of high paying jobs domestic oil production will create. When you mention the need for construction of nuclear power plants – talk about the number of high pay/private sector jobs this, too, will bring. And can you articulate more forcefully on how the democrats and radical environmental whackos are blocking (in the courts) these above initiatives? When you talk about Nafta, don’t forget that when Mexican (and Canadian) truckers stream across the border carrying loads into the heartland, its knocking a U.S. trucker (and his/her family) out of a job. When you have the opportunity, encourage federal/state/local governments to require all contractors to utilize the E-Verify program. This will insure that all employees hired are either U.S. citizens or are in country legally. And would it be possible to shift our focus off of the world economy and so called “emerging nations” and concentrate strictly on rebuilding our own? Stopping the hemorrhaging of jobs being outsourced overseas.

Sarah, the real stimulus that will repair our sick economy will be The American Worker. It will be U.S. workers with high paying, private sector jobs and a steady paycheck that will fill the shopping malls on weekends. They and their families will, again, frequent their favorite Mexican Restaurant or Pizza Parlor on Friday nights. They’ll make the decision to buy that bass boat or jewelry for their wife. The prosperity we’ve known can’t happen with the fake “green jobs” and government jobs that Obama proposes. We must confront and oppose radical environmentalism and bring back commerce, manufacturing and industry to our nation. There is no longer any room for compromise.

When the pendulum swings too far in one direction, it has been Republicans who’ve stepped in to fix the problem. Teddy Roosevelt “busted the trusts” on behalf of the working class. Ronald Reagan aggressively sought and acquired the Teamsters endorsement in both ’80 and ’84. While at the same time he put the arrogant Patco in its place. Unlike present day Republicans who hold the working class in contempt, these 2 titans had true respect for U.S. workers and their families.

Who will be the advocate for U.S. workers under siege in this dawn of the 21st century? Who will “advance in this different direction”?   Or who will, like dead fish, “go with the flow”. Darvin Dowdy

The Monumental Hypocrisy of Dick Cheney...

To those out there desperately trying to paste together scraps of enthusiasm by singing the poetic praises of VP Dick Cheney, please don’t expect the average conservative out in flyover country to join your little Republican booster club.

Certainly, there is not much to disagree with in what the former VP says. No doubt, we’re “less safe” under Obama. Pres Obama’s administration is obviously lowering all of our defenses. Opening us wide to all manner of political, economic and violent terror attacks. So why does the GOP Base continue to rapidly shrink?   (now down to 27% - Gallup

Why is it that the dull, monotone dronings of VP Cheney continue to ring hollow?   Fall short and flat except to a very few?

Its simple. Middle America does not forget.

Cheney and the GOP Hierarchy continue to display such contempt for the Base thinking they can initiate a ploy like this.   Assuming they can beat the drum of National Security and whip up an enthusiastic, emotional frenzy among all those hayseed hicks out in flyover country.

Sorry Mr. Vice President. The unwashed masses simply aren’t buying the excrement sandwich you’re trying to sell. All you’ve got left is that 27% - dutiful, unquestioning followers always willing to carry your water.

You see, Mr. Vice President, many appreciate the “passable” job you and your former Boss did in fighting the GWOT, but they haven’t forgotten the fact that during eight years of Republican reign, you left our southern (and northern) Border dangerously unprotected. Thanks to Republicans our southern border, especially, was and is considered by exploiters throughout the world as a “doorway of opportunity”.    Like a vacuum, it pulls in the “baddest of the bad” from all over the globe. And, Mr. Vice President, the worst problem is not so much the chaotic damage caused to our society by wholesale illegal immigration. Not at all.   But there is another aspect of your Republican Party’s extreme and irresponsible shirking of its sworn duty. (one of those duties being to protect our sovereign borders, sir) During your watch, sir, over 45,000 OTM’s from States that have Sponsored Terrorism crossed our southern/northern border, were picked up by U.S. authorities ( LINK ), given a Notice to Appear and then released out on the streets of America and in among the unwitting/unaware American people.

Again, this happened under your watch, Mr. Vice President. Between ’01 – ’05. Why? For all the wrong reasons, sir.   Political reasons. Shameless pandering/begging for the Hispanic vote. And, for the sake of Pres. Bush’s “New Tone”, lying down like a doormat for the democrats to walk on. And worst of all motivations was the GOP’s failure to wean itself from the filthy donor money funneled in by the seditious U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Bowing to their demands to keep uninterrupted the flow of cheap labor across the southern border.

So, our elected GOP representatives have come to believe that the concept of sovereign borders is antiquated/passé/obsolete. But that shortfall on their part has not been lost on our violent enemies abroad. They are delighted with this arrangement.

Doubters? Well simply select this Dept. of Homeland Security ( LINK ). (hurry – before it mysteriously disappears) Now scroll down to the portion of the report dealing with the “influx of illegal aliens from countries other than Mexico”. Other Than Mexicans (OTM’s). Specifically dealing with “illegal aliens from Special Interest Countries (SIC) and State Sponsors of Terrorism (SST) countries. Before you read, gird yourself. Grab a hanky to wipe the beads of sweat that will soon appear on your forehead. Honestly, its hard to believe this report is still even available! The author should be commended, whoever it was, as they deleted few of the negatives, in my view. They told the whole grim tale.

Of the 91.5K OTM illegals apprehended that had come from SST/SIC countries, 45K were released into our society. Why?   1) Even though they came across the southern border, Mexico will not take them back because they’re not Mexican citizens. And why weren’t they (SIC & SST illegals) retained in confinement?   Why were they released? Ok, get your hanky ready, prep yourself….2)    “DRO lacks the requisite detention bed space and support personnel needed to detain OTM’s” It gets worse. The cost required? A measly $50 million – claimed they couldn’t afford it. Yet Pres Bush had $ billions to support his Merida Initiative for the Mexican Gov’t but couldn’t spare $50mil to keep these “questionables” off of U.S. streets? So little regard for the safety of our citizenry.

There’s more. What happened to all of these OTM’s from terrorist countries that the Bush administration released upon our society?? (you have your high blood pressure medicine available, I hope) :

“It is not known exactly how many of these SST/SIC were ultimately issued final orders of removal and were actually removed since such data is not tracked by DRO”

See what I mean about this author? Tells it like it is. No one knows the whereabouts of these 45K OTM’s from terrorist nations. DHS doesn’t try to hide this fact. These fine folks might be living next door to you constructing a bomb factory. Ha!

“But wait minute” you ask, “certainly they ran background checks on the folks before releasing them?” Fair assumption, huh?:

“Immigration officials run background checks on each apprehended alien….However the effectiveness of these background checks is uncertain due to the difficulty that CBP & ICE have in verifying the identity, country of origin, terrorists or criminal affiliation of aliens in general” Yet they still released them!!

So are you feeling “less safe” yet? Now that we learn that Obama is dismantling all of our vital safety mechanisms? Leaving us wide open to all manner of assault on a grand scale?   And knowing that Dick Cheney, his Boss and the Republicans loosed upon us “at least” 45,000 potential cutthroats into our vulnerable society? Waving them in with a “high five” to go throughout our land making whatever mischief they will. And what about SIC/SST OTM’s released between ’05-’08? You’ve got to believe that 45K number has at least doubled. Especially since VP Cheney, his Boss and K. Rove had stepped up their attempts to pander to Hispanics during this period while simultaneously (and gleefully) poking their finger in the eye of the GOP Base between 1/21/05 – 1/19/09. Their favorite hobby – dis’ing the Base, you know. Especially after 1/21/05.

Sounds like the perfect backdrop for Jack Handey’s “Deep Thoughts of the Day”.   (any ideas there?)

The GOP continues to scratch its head in wonderment as to why they’ve lost so much support while privately speaking in contemptuous terms regarding the Base, no doubt. They try to hide that contempt but the Base clearly senses and reacts to it. Hence the great gulf widens between the two.

And as for Vice President Dick Cheney and the GOP Hierarchy?   Such monumental hypocrisy on your part. With all due respect please either address these deplorable shortfalls effectively or shut your arrogant pie holesDarvin Dowdy

Steele & RNC Should Put Distance Between GOP & Chris Simcox...

Upon hearing that Chris Simcox had decided to take on John McCain in the AZ 2010 Senate race, I’ll wager many a good conservatives thought, “oh. Cool!”    Nothing would be better than to see John McCain become as positionally irrelevant within the GOP as he actually is. Wouldn’t it be sweet to see someone come along and topple him from atop the hill? Stop him from his continued efforts ( such as this ) to sabotage and subvert the Conservative Movement that he holds in such contempt? No matter what state of the union one lives in, it would mean a lot to all conservatives nationwide to see a hostile and contrary John McCain ousted from “our” political process. Once and for all.

So when Mr. Simcox stepped up and volunteered to take on the job that other Conservative Arizonans are too cowardly to do, the 1st reaction of most good Conservatives is to sit down, write out a check and start lending support, right?   Not so fast. Before emptying your piggy bank one should take the time to do a simple internet search; just type in Chris Simcox. Soon the dark clouds of gloom will begin to move in overhead, blocking out the light.

You’ll find that this poor fellow, sadly, has a truck load of very negative baggage that accompanies him wherever he goes.   And neither is it always biased reporting from some lefty reporter over his stance on the illegal immigration/border issue. No, on the surface Chris appears to be this good looking, intelligent, well educated individual but it has been (and is being) revealed that he does have this dark side. ( link )   He has shown us true nativist/ racist tendencies in this video link. (i.e. his “work camps” and “shoot on sight” statements)

And as the author of this articles said, there is no shortage of other videos and material linking Simcox to mild racism.    Also, as this author said, he did not want to, “suggest a parallel between Simcox and David Duke”.   Which is fair and true. Simcox is a decent guy.   Simcox’s blunders are most likely attributable to youthful indiscretion – quotes made years ago. And hanging around with the wrong sorts. Like that Craig Howard guy with the run-away mouth. A real leader would have driven a racist like Howard out of the organization understanding how any racial undertones could severely damage the org’s credibility, given their particularly sensitive mission.   Which also demonstrates that Simcox is not fit for an important leadership role such as that of a U.S. Senator. Only democrats elect such irresponsible people into important positions.   The video does indicate that Simcox had obviously lost control of his MCDC org and lost sight of the mission. The original (and honorable) mission of assisting the U.S. Border Patrol.    Had they remained objective, hostility towards the actual illegal immigrants would have never entered into their thinking.

So in keeping with the tradition Republicans have of policing their ownMichael Steele should waste no time in investigating these videos and other evidence. And if they prove to be legit, it would be advisable for Steele to suggest that Simcox might withdraw from the race. And certainly he should offer zero RNC monetary support until this gets completely clarified.

Now back to those good Conservative Arizonans who are too timid to put their toe in the political water opposite John McCain. Let me name one of these wooses J.D. Hayworth. Former Congressman, this individual who has none of the Simcox baggage. Hayworth is smart, dynamic and totally objective especially on the illegal immigration issue. And he could easily take down McCain and any democrat opposition. Yet he hasn’t decided yet whether he’ll oppose John McCain. Oh, boo hoo. What’s the matter J.D.?    Built yourself a nice little career niche after your stint in congress? Now you’ve made yourself all comfy?   Hey dude. Your nation calls and needs you. We’re about to lose our Constitution, or haven’t you been paying attention? If any who read this agree, send him an encouraging email to get off his back-side and run: ( link2 )

Indulge me one more quick aside regarding the Minuteman Civil Defense Corp (Simcox) and the Minuteman Project ( Gilchrist).   I, personally, have little respect for these two org’s.   Why? Well we had some excellent Presidential candidates in ’08. Duncan Hunter (whom I supported) and Tom Tancredo. Both had fantastic records and stances on the illegal immigration/border control issues. Both of their campaigns dried up and withered on the vine for lack of funds. Thanks MCDC & Minuteman Project for your pathetic fundraising efforts.   Once these 2 Titans were out of the race there remained Fred Thompson. Thompson also had an excellent immigration plan that covered everything.   Did he get any support from these 2 org’s?   No. A haughty Gilchrist said he was “skeptical”. Once Fred was “taken out” and devoured by his own species we were then left with Romney and Huckabee. Both of which had acceptable immigration/border positions. Much better than McCain’s.   Where were the 2 Minutemen org’s? Crickets chirping.   And look who we’re stuck with as POTUS now!    Their lackadaisical grassroots efforts tells us something about these 2 loser organizations, their members and their leaders. They have turned inward, are self centered, self serving, have become ineffective and are close to becoming irrelevant. To them, its all about protecting their own little patch of turf. They’ve lost sight of the wide panoramic viewpoint. These 2 org’s should both be political powerhouses with extreme impact on the political process. Instead, they’re both duds.       I would advise the members of both to withhold donations until there is new and objective leadership with a clear and objective vision. Darvin Dowdy

Meghan McCain Swings Her Mallet & Drives the Wedge Deeper...

Meghan is a force to be reckoned with. She is not the bimbo/valley girl that many on our side portray her and neither should they ignore this - Progressive Powerhouse.    So what am I saying? That conservatives should sit down with her and seek to find common ground?    NO!! Meghan McCain represents a new progressive wing of the Republican Party that has gone on the offensive against Conservatism. Extreme/Radical Moderates, they are. In that sense Meghan and her sort are just as much a foe as are liberal democrats.   And they should be considered as such. She and her ilk have chosen this confrontational path.   These intemperate and immoderate moderates started this fight and it is up to Movement Conservatives to get up out of their whimpering fetal position, stop sucking their thumbs, turn and confront. Start pushing back!    If they fail to stand and fight, this Conservative Movement that Ronald Reagan and others so lovingly constructed, brick by brick, could certainly (and soon) become nothing more than a footnote in some future history book. What was once a “shining city on a hill” will appear only as distant ruins to wayfarers passing by.

Meghan McCain is, no doubt, emerging as the unabashed leader of this Movement of Radical Moderates and she doesn’t try to hide or mask her objectives: 1) separate the Republican Party from the Conservative Movement, 2) push the conservatives out and/or diminish their influence.    And she is succeeding to date. For that she deserves credit and respect. Respect for her intellect that is. Not her views.

For instance, in her recent address to the Log Cabin Republicans, she does correctly point out that the GOP and Conservatives are sitting around, “waiting for the other side to be perceived as worse than us”.   And that is absolutely true. The Movement Conservatives have become completely distracted.   Refusing to consider getting their own dysfunctional house in order but instead continuously harping and pointing their finger at the flawed, Constitution-hating democrats. They keep telling us what we already know rather than making an effort to fix our own problems. Of which they are in deep denial about. And many problems they do have, but honestly they are not insurmountable. However, their stubborn arrogance won’t allow them to even recognize that they have a problem. So they’ve become as a dog chasing its tail.

And Meghan, like most everyone else, can see this joke of a “GOP three ring circus”. It doesn’t take some political genius.   She sees it! Many of us see it. And to her credit she at least has the courage to try to offer up, with an element of passion, some Progressive solutions. She’s a progressive what else do you expect her to do?? Just so happens that her solutions (and those of others in her camp)  would finish the GOP for good. These “youthful” moderates may dominate the right Blogeshpere. They may be able to set up a Facebook page. They certainly know how to Twitter deep into the wee hours of the night. But, if left unchecked, they’ll finish the demolition job that John McCain started in 2008.   If Conservatives don’t “gently & lovingly” smack them down, these misguided progressives will drive away millions more of the 59.9 million that voted GOP on 11/4/08 and ruin any chance we might have of taking back one of the legislative houses on 11/2/10. Of which, for the sake of our Nation, we desperately need to do.

So, who are these “Old School Republicans” that Meghan proclaimed as “Scared S**tless”? They used to be called Reagan Democrats.   Now they are the 59.9 million Civic Conservatives   who held their nose and pulled the GOP lever on 11/4/08. Surely not voting “for” her progressive Dad but rather voting “against” the socialist Barrack Obama. And lets not forget about the 10-20 million who opted to “Stay at Home” rather than compromise their principles.   Meghan is correct about one thing, however. They are scared. But not for themselves because, you see, they’ve made their pot of gold!   They are scared for the future of Meghan and her fellow Gen Y’ers because of the destructive course these youngsters have set our Nation upon. Installing at the highest level of our government one who will punish achievers/producers, take the wealth they’ve earned and give it to the non-producers of not only our society but throughout the world.   And one who will incrementally push our Constitution aside and replace it with the charter of some world governing body.

Meghan says we Old School’ers want to, “cling to past successes”. Here’s where she show’s her serious lack of maturity. Certainly it makes perfect sense to “cling” to traditions and values that have worked for millennia. Truth transcends the generations but these Gen Y’ers, in their arrogance, believe that they have evolved to some higher plane of consciousness and have gained some unique higher knowledge.   Hence, they’ve concluded, that these traditions/values that have served mankind well over the centuries, no longer apply to them. They, of course, are tragically wrong and will pay a heavy and painful high price.

If this mentality begins to control the Republican Party, to put it simply, Old School Republicans will flee the party by the millions.   And they will not be replaced by some hyped-up, puffed-up, overrated youth vote.

These radical moderates are loose cannons on a rolling deck, encouraged and coached by an exultant MSM. Certainly they have moderate views but what makes them extreme is this; they are absolutely enthralled with what comes out of their own mouth.   “Hooked” and enticed by the attention they receive from the media. They’re in awe of their opinions and see themselves as messianic. Viewing themselves as some great leader holding the torch and pointing the way for the huddled masses. And they’re dangerous because, in essence, they are so very wrong-headed.   Next to the road they’re telling us we should travel upon there’s a tattered sign that reads “Bridge Out Ahead”. Yet they continue pointing the way and, as a result, many mindless followers within the lazy GOP Hierarchy convince themselves that this is the correct path-of-least-resistance to take. Hence the momentum builds for this Movement, in its infancy, of Radical Moderates.

I have feared for a long time that the vacuum caused by the total void of leadership within the GOP would eventually suck in something impure. Meghan’s Moderates seem to be that void filling contamination. Those on the right, such as Laura Ingraham, who believe the best way to deal with a force like Meghan McCain is to make fun of her dress size….well they have blundered seriously.   Meghan has brilliantly turned it around on them resulting in Ingraham and other conservative talkers drawing back a bloody stump, in shock. They’ve been made to look small as Meghan swings her substantial mallet and drives the divisive wedge still deeper between Conservatives and the Republican Party.   Those who oppose Meghan McCain had best learn do so strictly on an intellectual level and cease with the childish name calling.    Darvin Dowdy

Egads! Rick Perry?? Tell Me It Ain't So!......

Well Conservatives have been waiting around patiently for a leader to rise to the surface of the Republican Party.   Someone that would speak out boldly and radically in defense of our Nation, the Constitution and Conservatism. Yes we need impetuous radicals in the Republican Party, too, to counter the multitude of progressive radicals in the democrat party and main stream media. The time for timidity, over-caution and “the new tone” are dead and buried.   For the longest “this watchman” thought that maybe Sarah Palin might be “the” GOP leader. I truly hoped that it would be this attractive and dazzling GOP Star.   But she turned out to be a shooting star that arced high and then descended into the sea extinguishing with a fizzle.

Of course, it isn’t over till its over. She still has time to recover but its obvious that after the MSM bloodied her, she became rattled and hence made some extreme bad moves. Decisions made out of fear, confusion and desperation. Chief among these bad decisions is the one that caused her to employ very bad advisers who [themselves attached at the hip to the MSM] are trying to convince her to moderate toward the middle on some issues and avoid other, more critical issues altogether. And, sadly, she seems to be following that advice.   But this is what happens to Republican Politicians when they get mauled by the media. They convince themselves that they must work harder to win those in the MSM over to their way of thinking. Hence they begin to turn their backs on the voters and devote all their attentions toward pandering to the media and other special interest groups. This all to prove that they are just normal, likeable folk. They want to be liked more than they want to lead. This is what, I fear, has happened to our lovely Sarah. Such a tragedy.

So the GOP was Sarah’s for the taking after 11/4/08 but she apparently didn’t want it. So the vacuum caused by the tremendous leadership void is still pulling. There remains the “giant sucking sound”, as another famous Texan phrased it.   But wait, “lo and behold” look what has been pulled into the vacuum hose! Is it a hair ball? No, not exactly, however “Gov. Good Hair” is one of his nick-names coined by the late and notorious Texas progressive, Molly Ivins. Yes, the large lump halfway up the vacuum hose is our very own Texas Governor Rick Perry (yeee hawhh!). Who, shall we all agree, has been in the news lately for his rousing comments regarding the 10th Amendment and Texas Secession.

Even though I could not attend the Tea Party on the steps of the State Capitol in Austin, when I viewed the you-tube video I kicked my chair back, stood and started to applaud.   And then I caught myself. “Dude!” This is the same Rick Perry that flip-flopped on all of his promises after his extremely thin (38%) victory on 11/7/06! (yes that’s right-over 60% of Texans voted against him) He talked tough action on illegal immigration/securing the border before the election and then afterwards he called those who wanted to build the fence, “idiots” and did next to nothing.   Under his watch there are now millions of illegals that have freely strolled into Texas, siphoning off massive amounts of government service dollars and “our” high paying jobs. Oh, and lets not forget “HPV-gate”.   Another bold move by Perry that didn’t set well at all with Texas Conservatives.

I did write a blistering essay on Gov. Perry’s inconsistencies back in September ’07 that I’d like to invite you to read, here: ( link

Therefore, one could understand the average conservative Texan’s consternation at seeing Gov. Perry’s political star rising dramatically over the past week or so. And knowing what “we” know about him and his tendencies to speak like a tough, principled leader just before an election and then after the victory, well he just sort of becomes a wall flower of sorts.

That all having been said, let me say that I did, respect what Gov. Perry said. Especially his not-so-veiled threat of secession. That took some big brass ones and it has already brought him extreme grief from certain of those in the MSMThat alone is enough to make me want to give the man a 2nd chance.   And what about his “ambitions”? Well what politician isn’t ambitious? A politician can be ambitious and retain integrity and honor. I think. The fact is, if Gov. Perry would continue to speak with this sort of audacity, he could easily and quickly “own” the Republican Party – Nation Wide. Michael Steele might have a job called RNC Chair but it’d be meaningless.

If I were able to advise Gov. Perry… I’d tell him not to be intimidated, don’t hold back and - make no apologies! This is exactly the sort of in-your-face combativeness that the conservative Base is looking for. And combativeness is what we need right now. We’re losing our Constitution; soon to be nothing more than some artifact in a D.C. museum!   Its time to step up and this time, Governor, follow through with bold leadership after winning the election.    Darvin Dowdy

The Republican Party: Revival or Rigor Mortis?

A great time for a rant…..by Darvin Dowdy

Do you hear it? A resounding Death Knell  ( link1 ) for the Republican Party? Has the cloaked Grim Reaper  ( link2 )  cast its shadow of doom over the Conservative Movement?   The slow cadence of the funeral dirge has already begun as the procession moves toward the two gravesites.

But wait. The corpses just opened their eyes!   Audible gasps for air were heard coming from both.   Mark Twain said after reading his own obituary mistakenly published in a newspaper, “the reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated”.    The same may be said for the contemporary Conservative Movement and the present day Republican Party. Which isn’t to say they aren’t both seriously ailing.   They most definitely are and if they both don’t seek treatment, the left will, indeed, be dancing upon their graves one day.

Lets face it, the graves have been dug – deep. The two afore mentioned subjects are down there trying, half heartedly, to get a foothold and pull themselves out. But they can’t.   Everything they try as of late results in them falling back down into the hole.   Astonishingly, they remain “ok with it”. Unwilling to admit the predicament they’re in. No sense of urgency or alarm.   The former and estranged GOP voting Base is standing above with a rope ready to throw down to them (under certain conditions) but the “holed up” victims are in such a state of extreme arrogance that they will not accept the conditions or the assistance.

After all, they’re convinced they no longer need the Base. The unwashed, hayseed hicks out in flyover country, that is.   The GOP has everything they think they need down in their comfy little hole. They have their little computers and are able to pull up their placating “Redstate” type blog, suck-up buddies.    Plus they have plenty of money thanks to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. And they have their shrines and altars.   They have their Ronald Reagan shrine. And their newly constructed Sarah Palin shrine. And several others under construction. But their most revered and prized altar/shrine combo is the one dedicated to the late Milton Friedman. This is the one with the votive offerings strewn about, the candles and the visible sprinklings of dried chicken blood. Several “Greed is Good” banners strung overhead.    Oh, one says “Covetousness is Cool”.   And there are the scrolls stacked about the altar. You see, among the Conservative Movement and Republican Hierarchy, Milton Friedman has been “Deified” and his writings have been placed above the Bible and are now considered infallible.   Every jot and tittle divinely inspired, in their view.

So we have this stand-off. The Republican Party down in the hole refusing even to consider the terms of the Voting Base. The Voting Base standing above on the rim of the grave, ready to throw down a rope and shouting down saying, “hey, we’re willing to help you out of this mess you’ve gotten yourself into but we have a few conditions”.    Amazingly, the GOP can still do very well what Bush 43 taught them; cross their arms, turn their back and ignore the Base. And throw an insult in their direction occasionally.

But the Base is forgiving and tolerant. Much more mature, sophisticated and enlightened than the GOP Hierarchy (or anyone) gives them credit for.   The conservative Base is fully aware of the dangerous course that the Obama admin is steering our Nation onto. Yet millions are still willing to withhold support for the GOP? As they did on 11/7/06 & 11/4/08? Why? Because even though the Republicans were strong on military and national defense, they, too, left our Nation weakened and vulnerable in many other areas.   Republican leadership has been reckless and irresponsible in several areas:

·        In their slavish idol worship of Milton Friedman, the GOP and Conservative Movement has bought into his belief that somehow if we allow our Nations wealth to be siphoned off and sent out of country in the form of bad trade deals, etc, that somehow, miraculously, all that money will end up flowing back into our economy. Yea, sure. Why not just make it easy? Fly over their countries and dump money out? Wait and see how much ends up back in our own empty wallets.

·        They continue to fashion and adjust our international trade functions around and through global bodies/orgs (who despise us) such as the de facto GATT org and its evil offspring the WTO rather than dealing directly with each individual nation 1 on 1. As a result we always come out with the short straw. Our “unsustainable” trade deficit widens dangerously and our (voting) Middle Class diminishes. Not to worry though, the brilliant Milton Friedman says that the Trade Deficit isn’t so bad. No, it doesn’t factor in Foreign Assets owned by U.S. business. In other words this is where U.S. business owners shut down their factories here and open them up in some Chi-Com prison camp. And transfer all intellectual property, as well! They make lots of money that way and are simultaneously able to bypass the U.S. middle class and U.S. economy! A few get very wealthy while the U.S. Middle Class diminishes and delivers pizza’s at night to make ends meet. Great plan Milton!

·        The Republicans give the appearance of not valuing U.S. jobs. It may or may not be true. But they have come across as such. John McCain knocked Boeing out of a $40 billion tanker deal with the Air Force in favor of EADS (European AirBus). Why? Certainly Boeing had some problems but McCain boasted that he’d saved the taxpayers $2 billion! Yes he saved us $2 billion and -- cost our economy a $40 billion contract! - “Nice work Senator.   To be sure, it cost you a lot of votes on 11/4/08. Dummy!” /"/"/"   Additionally there is the refusal of the GOP to enforce existing immigration laws and demand that employers utilize the E-Verify system when hiring. Turning their back (at the behest of the seditious U.S. Chamber of Commerce) while millions of illegal hordes crossed the border to steal U.S. jobs and government services. Services paid for by U.S. taxpayers.   These are just 2 examples of the GOP appearing to not care about the average Middle American worker [as most of them do not-neither do the dem’s!]. And it cost them millions of “Reagan Democrat” votes on 11/4/08. Millions!!

·        The refusal of cowardly elected GOP representatives to launch an attack, go on the offensive, aggressively oppose the radical environmental movement. A big problem with the Base. Fight them! And the GOP Rep’s timidity in backing a brave group of climatologists/scientists who are skeptical of and oppose the man made climate change hoax. Instead, for pure political reasons alone, the GOP joins up with these greenies. Disgusting.

·        The most horrendous and evil dereliction of responsibility by the Republicans has been their failure and down right refusal to seal the Southern Border and stop (or slow to a trickle) illegal immigration under 8 years of Bush 43.   Allowing our southern border to become seriously and dangerously breached. The drugs, the gang violence, the diseases and the heavy costs to our society especially in the border states has been devastating. Not to mention the OTM (other than Mexican) traffic. A total callousness and insensitivity toward the suffering of U.S. citizens by the GOP. Of all the issues, this is the one that cost the GOP the most on both 11/7/06 and 11/4/08. Yet they, the GOP Hierarchy, remain in complete denial regarding this.  Most of the time they won’t even allow it to be discussed. Oh, and Milton Friedman was always “for” open immigration. But he finally change shortly before his death. Too bad that by that time there were 12-20 million of them in country. Milton said the reason for his change is because the illegals come up here and take advantage of our welfare state. Duh! Oops! Too late Uncle Milty. They’re heeeerrrrre!

So, it is the New Reagan Democrats that are standing on the rim of the freshly dug graves peering down at the haughty GOP and Movement Conservatives below.   Ten to 20 million Civic Conservatives looking down, hand outstretched.   Offering to help put the GOP back into the winners circle.  These independents certainly have a rope to throw down and help the arrogant GOP out of the hole. And they also have, leaning against a nearby tree, some shovels. Ready to fill in the hole if the GOP refuses to bend and “rigor mortis” sets in.   Ready and willing to form up a New Republican Party if the need arises.

This block of voters demands courageous leadership. If not provided then it will simply “Stay at Home” or protest vote for another candidate come 11/2/10. Just like they did before. The GOP can not win without themDarvin Dowdy

Republican Road to Recovery - More Glowing Generalities...

In these stressful times you might find yourself having trouble dropping off to sleep. So many things to worry about, you know? Well if you are in need of a good sedative tonight but are wanting to avoid heavy medication, may I recommend, hot off the presses, the “Republican Road to Recovery”.   Gingerly presented, courtesy of the overcautious Cong. John Boehner, the reserved Cong. Mike Pence and the restrained Cong. Eric Cantor. And other noncommittal GOP types.

Leave the Ambien and Melatonin in the medicine cabinet. If you make it through the “Curbs Spending,pg 5” segment before the 1st snore, don’t worry. Coming up next is the mind numbing subject of “Universal Access to Health Care,pg 6-8” portion. Even the most severe insomniacs will not escape deep slumber.

[Not to mention the fact that this portion of the document never once mentions the burden that is being placed on our health care system by the 12-20 million illegal immigrants that were allowed in over the past 8 years. By who?   Yes, Republicans.]

So, if you want to waste your time reading through this “more-of-the-same” document, it might be best to do it after a good nights sleep and with a cup of strong coffee close by.   You’ll find little to disagree with, mind you. I do not want to be critical of the content, such that it is. Your typical Republican “appealing word groups” and “talking points”.   Like you get in the mail from the RNC when they’re begging for money. But what floored me? The glaring and, of course, purposeful - omissions.   Typical of Republicans over the past 8 years.   When it comes to the real hot-button, ideological issues that the voting Conservative Base wants strong action on, well our timid elected rep’s simply choose to “not discuss it”.   The more these elected ones dis and ignore the Base, the greater the hostility between the 2, hence the results - 11/7/06 and 11/4/08.   And if this plan is the best the Republicans can come up with, so will it be on 11/2/10. Just a short 19 months away.

Example, page 11. Energy. We read much of what we already know. That the democrats will throw every obstacle possible in the path of those wanting to dramatically increase domestic oil production. Why do we already know it? Because we, out here in flyover country know and aren’t afraid to talk about the fact that the democrat party is the property of the radical environmental movement. The 2 terms, in fact are almost synonymous.   Radical greenies own this political party, make no mistake. So why won’t these Republicans talk about this? Why do they not have an aggressive plan of attack against these radical greenies (as we expect of them)? Do they actually think they’re going to get any of these goals accomplished, such as drilling in Anwr or the OCS, until they decisively defeat this very determined enemy standing in the path? No, of course not. Republicans are cowering in fear of these environmental whacko’s.

Republicans had an awesome opportunity recently to make a strong statement regarding this issue. Earlier this month in New York the 2009 Int’l Conference on Climate Change was held. This was a meeting of some of the top Climatologists who also happen to be strong skeptics of the loose theory regarding man-made climate change. In other words, they don’t buy off on the idea that mankind is affecting the climate or weather. Wouldn’t it have been grand to see Mr.’s Boehner, Pence and other signers of this document in attendance? Or the newly appointed RNC chair, Michael Steele? Or Sarah Palin? To have them march in to that conference armed with notebook/pencils or laptops. Ready to take notes and learn. Or even to speak, if called upon. Their presence alone would have bolstered this brave group of scientists and, again, it would have made an unmistakable statement. Loud and clear; the Republican Party does not sign on to this flimsy theory/hoax of man made global warming. Of course, this sort of bold challenge by Republicans “could” have been the shot heard round the world. The democrats and the Main Stream Media would, most certainly, have skewered them for attending. The conservative Base, however, would have cheered. But not to worry. None attended, to my knowledge. Too risky. We’ve learned not to expect this sort of boldness from our overcautious, limp wristed Repub’s.   No, an act of bravery like this might cause a loss of something very dear to them – their coveted chair at the democrats “table of compromise”.   Such an egregious lost opportunity for Republicans. Another opportunity for them to regain a bit of respect - lost.

You want another lost opportunity? Go back to page 9. The Republican Plan (in bold letters) “Creates Jobs”. Ha! This is the one issue that cost the GOP millions of Reagan Democrats and Union Rank ‘n File worker votes on 11/4/08. And probably cost them the POTUS election. And, sadly, the authors of this document are too blind to see it. I searched the entire segment and document searching for something that might indicate that it might possibly be time, what with 8%+ unemployment, to insure that all U.S. jobs go to U.S. citizens or Immigrants that are in country legally. Here’s what I found: ( link ) What a joke! Very little at all on how they plan to create any jobs.   Not one mention, either, of the 12-20 million U.S. jobs being taken by the 12-20 million illegal immigrants presently in this country. Most of which came while the Republicans were on watch. Nor did these illustrious Republicans put forth a plan to require employers to attach an E-Verify printout to each employees signed I-9 form. This simple solution would rapidly encourage our “illegal visitors”, once the jobs dried up, to return to their nation of origin. And would open up millions of good paying warehouse, construction and even “janitorial” jobs for U.S. workers. These are not lettuce harvesting, bus-boy or leaf blower jobs but are, in fact, the jobs that Americans will take.

This document demonstrates that the GOP appears unable to reject special interests. Or turn, re-focus on and re-connect with the actual Conservative Voting Base. The Base that kept them in power for so many years. And they lack the will to aggressively oppose special interests, the democrats and radical environmentalists. That is what is lacking in this document. How will they oppose and defeat the left? A battle that must be waged before we ever move the Nation again in a rightward direction.

Instead we have watered down, lifeless “glowing generalities” such as we find in this document. Nothing here that will inspire or reignite the former and estranged GOP Base, sadly. Its almost childish. Like a kid talking about what they’re going to do when they get to Disneyland. “Sounds great!” you ask. “When will you go and how will you get there?” The reply; A blank stare and shrug of the shoulders.

So, my fellow conservatives, this isn’t the Big Plan or Contract we’ve all been waiting/hoping for. Might as well just roll over and go back to sleep. Darvin Dowdy

Michael Steele. Gutsy, Focused and a Brilliant Tactician....

We hear a lot these days about the blunders and failings of Chairman Michael Steele.  Many think that Chairman Steele has been making too many public mistakes and is simply not up to the job. In my humble opinion, they are totally and absolutely wrong. Dead wrong. Steele knows exactly what he’s doing.    You see, Steele is obviously using a classic military tactic. A probing action to draw out the enemy (or in this case the opposition “us” – Movement Conservatives) for the purpose of judging their strengths/weaknesses.   Steele is gutsy and bold. He aggressively thrusts forward with his “Extreme Moderate” agenda (LINK). And then he retreats. Classic!   Just as with the Limbaugh encounter, forward - critical/name-calling one day and then the next day retreating /apologizing. Very well executed. This tactic requires a rapid retreat or the individual(s) performing the probe will most like become a casualty. Steele has come fairly close to that, yet he survives.

But you see an “extreme moderate” like Steele, and many others within the GOP Hierarchy believe radically in their particular brand of “moderation”. These haughty moderates are so enamored with themselves for being able to move back and forth across the aisle compromising, communicating and working well with those on the far left, the center and, occasionally, even the right.   Like a honey bee buzzing from flower to flower. Yes, it is almost sexual. That is how strong it is. Self adoration. Infatuated and totally in love with self.   You can see it when they operate. Restraint and genteel rhetoric. Fake humility. Dulcet tones. No real passion because, in their effort to be all things to all people they are, in fact – no where!   Certainly they’ll occasionally self-destruct when they get caught in their own trap of trying to play both sides toward the center.

So, what we have here is Steele “and others” making a deliberate and determined effort to steer the entire political process of the GOP (and the Nation) back toward the left.   Driving toward the center and most likely beyond! And the probing actions? Well, these Extreme Moderates are trying to determine what they can get away with.   Steele is bravely taking “the point” but do not think he is alone in this endeavor. You can be certain that he has the blessings of many within the GOP Hierarchy. I totally expect John McCain to jump to his defense and will be surprised if he doesn’t. This is, I believe, a planned, organized and choreographed offensive.   It’s a long term plan designed to eventually wear down the opposition.   He and his skirmish line are advancing under fire.

And what about this “skirmish line”? Who are some of the combatants? The participants? Well this is actually a new movement, in its infancy.   I’m calling it the Movement of Extreme Moderates (MEM). An oxymoron of sorts, I suppose.   I mean, there have always been moderates but they’ve not been so combative.    David Frum is, in my view, an MEM leader and he’s already proclaiming victory. Saying they are the “New Majority” . In his view, his brand of conservatism (which is not conservatism) is the only formula that can win.

And we have “new recruit”. Valley girl, Meghan McCain.   Already going on the offensive against anyone that she considers too extreme. Making Daddy proud. Riding her high horse, she even slammed her fellow MEM member Steele! : ( link2 ). That’s normal. Remember all MEM members revere their own particular brand of moderation above all. They’re in deep, rapturous love with their own opinions. A weakness that can be exploited by Movement Conservatives, by the way.

So we have, in my view, this MEM forming up without its members even being aware of the fact, apparently. A weak and fragmented cabal fomenting a mini-revolution within the GOP. Vying for control - and on the attack. Their one big advantage? The confused, clueless 168 members of the RNC made a boneheaded move and placed an MEM member in its “Chair” at the head of the table. Or maybe many of these “168” are, in fact, Extreme Moderates, too?

Now what will Movement Conservatives do? Are they so demoralized and defeated that they’ll sit on their hands and watch 30 years of hard work evaporate? Will they stand idly by while this pip-squeak, up-start of a movement pushes their way in taking “more” control of the Republican Party than it already has?   Diluting the Republican message down into some lukewarm pablum that right-thinking Middle America will, once again, spew out of their mouth come next election day?

Michael Steele and his hip-hop strategy ; it’s all about pandering.   The same destructive pandering tactics of Bush43 and Karl Rove. This is what has placed the Conservative Movement in the mess it is now in. And Steele and his ilk want to move more in that groveling, pandering, doormat of a direction??    By pandering to specific groups, the “panderer” only draws the ire and disrespect from those in other groups who are not being pandered to.

Question is, do we Conservatives have the will to stop this insanity and get this Nation moving rightward again? The direction that the majority of Americans want our nation traveling.   Do we have the stomach to aggressively go after people in our own political party that have now, for what ever reason, strayed away from the Conservative Movement and are drifting (or in some cases running) leftward?

About 173 years + 10 days ago in an abandoned mission, fortified by Texas freedom fighters, in what is now San Antonio, Texas, Col. William B. Travis read a letter aloud to his men. It was a letter demanding surrender from Mexican Gen. Santa Anna. Travis unsheathed his sword and drew a “line in the sand”.   Well, you know the rest of the story, I’m sure. If you don’t, shame on you.

Limbaugh is Not Our Leader. He is Our Benchmark.....

Limbaugh seems to be enjoying the ride as his sturdy little craft is being carried along by the swift current called the daily news cycles.   And the fact that millions more are now tuning in to his talk show hasn’t hurt his Arbitron rating, either. Rush is being touted by friend and foe alike as the leader or de facto leader of either the Conservative Movement, the Republican Party or both.   Limbaugh’s “First National Address” at CPAC 2009 certainly had its desired effect.   A gutsy counter attack that rallied the troops, turned the retreating Conservative Movement 180 degrees and put it back on the offensive. Even recapturing a bit of lost ground.   Only to have it, the Movement, run out of steam and stall again shortly thereafter.

Another big payoff of the Limbaugh/CPAC speech, though, is that it drew out into the open some of the pseudo-conservative element within the Republican Party or those outside the actual party that are influencing it. Rino’s that are part of the problem rather than the solution but have somehow managed to stay concealed in the shadows.     There are legions of these “sleeper agents” that have been responsible for “compromising” the party leftward toward the center. So at least as a result of Rush’s line in the sand, a handful of these “isle crossers” now have the spotlight shining strong on them.     Most notably David “chuck me in the shallow water” Frum.   Frum and his ultra-moderate ilk must be allowed no influence whatsoever in the GOP steering process.   And there’s Cong. Eric Cantor, supposedly a rising star in the GOP! But, we find, Cantor doesn’t want Pres. Obama’s socialist agenda to fail! He’s young. Maybe he can be turned and taught to acquire some backbone. And then we have our newly hired RNC Chair Michael Steele, calling Limbaugh “ugly” and “incendiary”    ?? Poor Michael. In way over his head. Someone please throw him a life preserver!

Ugly & Incendiary? Rush Limbaugh? No.   In the thinking of most authentic conservatives Rush is a force for moderation, rationality and reason within the Conservative Movement. Yes, that’s right. I’m calling Rush a moderate. In the conservative sphere, that is.    And most of “us” believe that while there is room for our elected Rep’s to maneuver on Limbaugh’s right flank, we have no patience and will no longer tolerate having our elected Republicans wandering even 1 degree to the left of where Rush Limbaugh resides on the issues. We are all out of patience and good will regarding those who continue to pander and wander leftward. Evidenced by the absolute firestorm resulting from the comments by Frum, Cantor, Steele and others.   If the Republican Party learns nothing else from this little skirmish, they should learn that it (the GOP) and the Conservative Movement are 1) two separate entities and 2) For the present Rush Limbaugh may not be the Movements Leader but, more importantly, he is our Benchmark. A message to you Republican politicians and officials; venture off to the left of where Limbaugh is positioned politically - at your own peril.   We hold this loveable little fuzz ball up before you with a sign around his neck, “Do Not Travel Leftward Beyond This Point”. You’d best heed that warning. Clear? Don’t take 2010 for granted. Make no mistake, the Stay-at-Home Conservatives punished/spanked you hard on 11/7/06 and 11/4/08. Will you learn your lesson?   Turn and begin your migration rightward!

As to those, such as myself, who would occasionally travel to Limbaugh’s right flank? Well there is plenty of room to maneuver safely and freely.   There’s even room for an occasional (and sometimes justified) jab at the Great El-Rushbo himself.   After all he’s only correct some 98.8% of the time, or something like that. But as one wanders in the far reaches of the rightosphere, far from the Benchmark, there are very real dangers. Some outer region travelers have become disoriented and confused, pointing an accusing and critical finger at one of our Nation’s only remaining and dearest friends in this world; Israel.   Brilliant intellects have fallen into this confusion. Pat BuchananRon Paul,  Lou Dobbs to name a few. We can only hope to turn these fallen comrades one day and give them a helping hand out of the pit they’ve descended into. At times like this we need them desperately.   And there are "others"  who’ve crossed over the far right boundary line. They fret over something called “the Browning of America”.   As if skin pigment/color can prevent love and devotion for our Constitution. The modern Conservative Movement must be an inclusive Civic Conservatism rather than some dark form of ethnic conservatism. And after all, as Limbaugh pointed out in the CPAC speech, there is enough racism on the democratic left.   We can’t tolerate any form of that contamination within our Movement.

One more little reminder for the GOP Hierarchy regarding the effectiveness of our rotund Benchmark [with one hand tied behind his back].   If you’ll go back with me in time to May/June 2007. The McCain/Kennedy Amnesty Bill. We had Hannity, Ingraham, Beck, Gallagher, O’Reilly and a host of others valiantly pushing this monstrous piece of legislation towards the edge of a cliff. To its destruction.   Just as they get it teetering on the very edge, well they run out of steam. Can go no farther. Cigar in hand, El-Rushbo saunters up to the teetering mass and re-names it the “Comprehensive Destroy the Republican Party Act” and with his pinky sends the hideous mass crashing down into the ravine below.   Not to diminish what the others did but it required Limbaugh’s gentle nudge. His endorsement. Unfortunately the arrogant, dim witted Republican Party did not learn from this.   Because look who their ’08 nominee was? And furthermore, the GOP remains populated by armies of these unteachable sorts. For these rino’s winning is simply not a priority. There are other far more important things, in their arrogant view. But for those who understand that a GOP win in 2010 is the only option, they’d best walk into this realization with eyes wide open, focused and guided by our Conservative Benchmark.      Darvin Dowdy

Limbaugh Falls Short at CPAC Frat Party

I wanted to reach through the TV screen and pull Rush back onto the stage at CPAC ‘09, “you haven’t finished Rush! You haven’t given them any specific direction or strategy. Only generalizations.   Certainly you provided no shortage of profound truth, to be sure, but you must get back up there and tell them what they did wrong resulting in 11/7/06 and 11/4/08. Give them some specifics El Rushbo! Give them a direction.” But then, if he did that he’d probably have to give a series of lectures over the next week or do an all-nighter.   And I think that would have been fine with the raucous crowd but, quite frankly, that is not Rush’s job. I felt , close to the end of the speech, that Rush really wanted to break it off as if he was getting pulled into something he didn’t really want to be saddled with. Just my take.   Rush is a pundit/commentator/reporter extraordinaire. America’s Anchorman. But he is not a strategist and has never pretended to be. In all my years of listening to Rush, I’ve always sensed that he tended to shy away from offering up solid, definite strategies or advice. He’ll dabble in it mildly - the basics - and then pull back. His wise counsel is, however, there and available, be it ever so subtle.   Unfortunately, because of its subtlety most politicians [like the boisterous crowd at CPAC 09] never get it. It just doesn’t sink in. To get through these thick skulls will require a more “in-your-face” sort of personality, like this. And, of course, a messenger of that sort would not be welcome at CPAC 09. Might upset the frat party atmosphere that CPAC has morphed into.  It seems to have degenerated into an opportunity to have fun & party. Not solve problems. No sense of urgency.   Even with Rush saying:

“We are in for a real battle. We’re talking about the United States of America . . . remaining the country we were all born into and reared into it. And it’s under assault . . . but it’s never been under assault like this before, from within.”

That obviously didn’t penetrate. Conservatives do not have their war paint on.   No, they just want to keep having fun and continue to protect their own little patch of turf.

One of the “subtleties” Rush brought up:

“Obama can’t appeal to the American people without appealing to Reagan voters and we’ve got people on our side who want to throw them out. We’ve got to stamp this out or it will destroy us.”

And I watched this go right over the heads of the party animals in the gallery. These out-of-touch boneheads haven’t got a clue as to what Rush was talking about here. Who are these “Reagan Voters” Rush was speaking of?   Lets go back in time for a “sampling”. Ronald Reagan aggressively sought and acquired the Teamsters Union endorsement both in ’80 and ’84. Ronald Reagan would not have allowed that aspect of Nafta that allows Mexican and Canadian truckers to drive freely on U.S. taxpayer highways without proper work visa’s/permits. Pushing U.S. truckers out of their jobs.   As we speak the Teamsters Union (1.5 million members) and OOIDA (160K members) are battling to keep jobs for their members.   And to prevent 75% of the U.S. trucking industry from, in the next 5 years, disappearing and reappearing in Northern Mexico. Unfortunately the GOP under Bush 43 would not lift a finger to help the union rank and file. In the eyes of the Mom/Pop working American voter, the GOP has turned its back on them. The McCain EADS/Boeing tanker fiasco didn’t help much either.

And these are the Wal-Mart voters that Rush spoke of:

“That we have to figure out how to get the Wal-Mart voters, we’ve got most of the Wal-Mart voters already. . . .

He is partially right. We “did” already have them – prior to 11/7/06. These are the same class of people that have elected mostly conservative, pro-business Presidents since the early 50’s. These are the same hard working folks that stood up and cheered when Reagan refused to back down before Patco. These are the same who, over the decades have rejected unions in their work place. So how does the GOP Hierarchy reward them?   They team up with the seditious U.S. Chamber of Commerce and cover their eyes while 12-20 million illegal immigrants pour in and steal the jobs that are the birthright of U.S. citizens.   And I’ll wager you that many in that CPAC audience are among this group of blackhearts. At least a sprinkling of them. Certainly the GOP Hierarchy remains controlled by them. Which is why we will continue to lose come 2010 if these transnationalists aren’t purged from influential positions.

I love Rush like a brother but I think he left many things unsaid.   Issues that need to be discussed openly that, instead are being hushed. There remains a “great gulf fixed” between the conservative voting Base and the GOP Hierarchy and , sadly, leaders of the Conservative Movement.   And if the mutual admiration society called CPAC ’09 is any indication, little progress is being made to close that gap and reconnect with the former, estranged conservative Base. Darvin Dowdy

RNC Pandhandler's Cardboard Sign: "Will Politic for Food"

I got another one today. Yep, a fat little envelope from the Republican National Committee. Asking for money, of course. Along with it came a cover letter with information that I have known for years regarding the sinister plans of the democrats and what will happen if we don’t stop them.   Tell me something I don’t know, please!   And this is the 2nd one I’ve received in a month! I threw this most recent one in a stack with the previous ones.   I suppose I’ll try to scrape up a few bucks to send these poor, pathetic, pandering fools. My heart really bleeds for them wondering if they have anything left that resembles self-esteem. Resorting to begging and pleading like some poor panhandler hefting a cardboard sign, “will politic for food” in tattered Salvation Army apparel. Sadly, it’s the only strategy they have left! The exact same strategy that the poor vagabond on the street uses, hoping to appear so pitiful that you’ll feel compassion and empty your spare change into their upturned palm.

I sat staring at the envelopes wondering what something like this might have cost. Sent out to millions of people. The printing, the software involved, the maintenance of the database and manpower, etc. The expense must be very high. What a waste of valuable resources that could have been used for more productive, positive and informative purposes.   You know this is almost like a failed relationship. A “former” friend who recently made it abundantly clear to you, with a vote of no confidence, that they wanted to strictly limit future encounters. And you weren’t sure why. [kind of like this relationship between the Republican Party and the conservative Base] If you were the spurned friend wouldn’t you want to at least sit down and pen a sincere, personal letter asking them why? Posing a few questions in order to get a better understanding as to why the relationship went south? Wanting to recover the relationship? Seems a no-brainer to me.   Certainly you wouldn’t send them a letter begging for money. That would be like rubbing salt in the wound and would be downright weird. A strong indication that the sender had some real “issues” which might require professional counseling.

So, the RNC has these real “issues”.   They have not even the slightest interest in trying to understand why the waning support for the party.   They simply don’t think in terms of using that fabulous mailing database to reach out and touch their former supporters. Oh, certainly they’ll occasionally include a very short survey with rigged, carefully crafted “safe” questions that most right thinking people would answer in only one way. That survey being attached to another “plea” for money in order to coax a bit more out of us. And we never see the compile, analyzed results of these surveys, do we? Which can only mean that once the money was fished from the envelope, the rest was, most likely, contemptibly tossed in the trash.

So the RNC has the know-how, the tools and the ability to reach us. Individually! Isn’t that amazing? They can and do easily communicate directly with all of us. But not for the purposes of gaining knowledge. Only for bumming more money.    Large, successful corporations value feedback from their customers and employees. They mail or email their customers and/or employees a PIN number which gives them access to a website. On that website is an exhaustive, comprehensive, in depth questionnaire/survey covering all aspects of all issues within that company regarding the company’s products/services.   Once the survey is completed/returned, experts analyze the results and report to top management.   You see, in business factual data is an important tool that helps keep them competitive in the market. Knowing what level of service and product sophistication their customers are desiring. They have to stay mindful of the wants of their customers.

But not the RNC. They continue to demonstrate that they care nothing for what the conservative Base thinks. Instead they turn to their manipulative pollsters, their inept strategists and all manor of advisers and consultants who have their own biased agendas. Nope. No exhaustive questionnaire for conservative voters covering all aspects of all issues such as The GWOT, the Geneva Convention(s), immigration, illegal immigration, environmental radicalism, the man made global warming hoax, domestic trade, international trade, the never ending trade deficit, GATT and its evil offspring the WTO, the UN, world opinion, the diminishing influence of the U.S. Constitution, etc, etc.    And no gathering together of the best and most enlightened conservative minds to analyze the results of said questionnaire once completed and returned. Obviously they think we hayseeds out here in flyover country just don’t have sufficient or sophisticated knowledge of these issues to be able to adequately contribute to the discussion/debate.

Oh I can hear the skeptics, “Unnecessary! We have pollsters and other experts. We know what the Base wants. We have our finger on their pulse”.    Yes, and how has that been working for you, knucklehead?   No, the only reason to oppose a sincere, meaningful and substantial outreach from the RNC toward the Base is that the findings might upset the status quo. Can’t have that.    And there is another dark secret not spoken of in public. The GOP Hierarchy might now have to confront and deal with something that they’ve known for some time; the extreme hostile opposition that exists between the Conservative Base and traditional corporate donors to the GOP. Leaders with moral courage, like Ronald Reagan, would have no problem with a dilemma such as this.   Without question or hesitation – loyalty to the Voters.   But, as I once again examine this little envelope from the RNC, I have no doubt what route they’d take (and have taken). They’d go for the money.   Darvin Dowdy

Limbaugh and Movement Conservatives: Successfully Distracted by Democrats...

One of the symptoms of Adult Attention Deficit Disorder is a tendency to become distracted by extraneous stimuli. Being lured off course by things that are personally stimulating but they offer no solutions or help with immediate life problems and predicaments. The sad results are that these stimuli become a pleasant distraction while meaningful challenges continually get pushed aside and forgotten. Hence, the individual never progresses or experiences any significant growth or maturity.   Gosh most men, including myself, have to fight this battle on a daily basis. Seems like we’re always searching for pleasant distractions, huh? I digress.   So if this “condition” can befall an individual could it not also infect a group? An organization? A political party? Or even a political movement?

The Conservative Movement has certainly contracted this ailment, in my view. It has been sucked up in a vortex of emotional reaction directed towards the totally predictable course our government has taken since 1/20/09. As if it should be a total surprise that this course has taken a sharp turn to the “left” under Obama/Pelosi/Reid. “So” you ask, “how is this a pleasant distraction?” I don’t know. But it seems that Limbaugh, conservative talk radio, pundits and blogs are effuse with comment after comment, article upon article, essay stacked on essay, over and over and over again [ad nauseum] regarding the extreme leftward direction the democrats are steering our Nation. Conservative commentators such as Ann Coulter continue to pump out articles and books telling us what we already know [and are sick of hearing] about the left. Alright already! We know enough about the devious, deceitful, Constitution-hating democrats! My gosh how many times must we be told? We’re convinced, ok? Yet our conservative orators/pundits seem gleeful and shocked at the very same time in their continuous reporting of the left’s shenanigans. As if this is the first anyone has heard about this agenda of the left which works tirelessly towards undermining our Constitution and moving us, instead, toward and under the control of some world governing body. I mean, what the heck did they expect? That congress would pass a bill declaring Ronald Reagan’s birthday a national holiday? Why would they or any thoughtful person be surprised? The answer is – they are not surprised. They, the present conservative pundits, simply enjoy this game. Tit for tat. One-upmanship. It’s a battle of the titan ego’s.   A glorious hobby! They are having a blast. They fiddle while Rome burns! Its all become just a big game to them. Again, they’ve been pulled into this vortex of strife and discord and have, hence, been rendered somewhat ineffective.   If they remain, they will become totally irrelevant.

“So” you ask, “what should they do? Shouldn’t they report these hideous attacks on our Constitution and Liberty? Shouldn’t we all protest? Be shocked and appalled?” Well, some years back I watched a football game with horrible officiating. One call in particular was obviously flawed and unfair costing one team much needed points. The team coach on the wrong side of the bad officiating kept his cool and did not complain. His team was far behind but they had a superior strategy and tactics. A better, flexible plan. Long story short, they came from behind and won the game despite the odds being completely against them.    The Conservative Movement has been beaten down by an unscrupulous opponent yet they have no come-back strategy, whatsoever. Oh, there are plenty who have a national “bloody pulpit” of some sort and they are standing behind those pulpits whining continuously about the encroachments of our arrant enemy.   There is no winning strategy, however, or even a questioning of what went wrong on 11/7/06 and 11/4/08. No attempt to reach out to the estranged GOP Base, better understand them and make adjustments that would draw them back. Among conservative politicians or pundits there is no significant plan to go on the offensive against those negative forces within the GOP that continue to have a strangle hold on it. Those that continue to drive away millions of former GOP voters. No naming of names. No pointing of fingers. No stomach for going after some of their golfing buddies or former comrades who have steered our GOP off of the super highway it was once on and into a muddy bog.  No sir, too unpleasant a task. No gathering together of the great conservative minds for the purpose of an exhaustive analysis. Why? Largely because they’re afraid of what they’ll find.

Nope, the only tactic our “distracted” side has now is that of throwing a few rocks at the democrats who are so well shielded by the MSM that the pebbles simply bounce off. You hear the pinging sounds amid the laughter of our gloating opponents. Darvin Dowdy

Sarah honey, Strike 3. You're Out!

Palin and the GOP governors gave Pres. Obama exactly what he wanted.  He can now place a brand on his Stimulus Package, "Bipartisan Support". We are now co-owners of this boondoggle whereas before the democrats owned it.
Sarah, Signing on with the Obama Stimulus push and shoving a knife in the back of Congressional Republicans who united against it, well it  would make John McCain proud...

Whats the old saying - 3 strikes and you're out? So be it. Sadly, I must withdraw my support for her. This was the final blow:

http://www.newsmax.com/headlines/gop_governors_stimulus/2009/01/31/177088.html

This news took the breath out of me. I felt betrayed.   Many a conservative stood up and cheered as Congressional Republicans locked shields last week and voted unanimously against the stimulus program. And now we find that Sarah is there, operating in back rooms trying to undermine their valiant efforts! Shameful. I have, for several months, been seeing evidence that Sarah is actually masquerading as a conservative. Apparently she is more like John McCain than I wanted to believe. With her embracement of the green movement and acceptance of the man-made global warming hoax, here:

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2009/01/sarah-palin.html

The conservative Base wants a leader with backbone. Someone who'll oppose these radical environmental whacko's, not become one of them. Another reason for the GOP losses on 11/7/06 and 11/4/08. Do these people ever learn? I thought we'd found a leader in Sarah Palin.

And Sarah claimed to be for the working person. That turned out to be another bit of fakery. She has taken the GOP's hard line when it comes to the flaws within Nafta that will result in the evaporation of millions of U.S. Truck driving jobs:

 http://www.teamsarah.org/profiles/blogs/sarah-please-support-us

Simply because they're too proud and too blind to admit that there are certain aspects of Nafta that must be adjusted. So Sarah, what happened to Joe Six Pack the truck driver?

Its so tragic to have to confront the facts. There is just too much evidence pointing to the reality that Sarah is just another elitist, GOP operative. Sarah and McCain - cut from the same cloth. She’s smooth. She’s slick and she fooled us all.

I totally expect an avalanche of negative reaction/comments. I ask those who read this, in your support of Sarah Palin, are you being governed by your emotions? As a result of this have you lost your objectivity? This is no time for right thinking Americans to lose their ability to be rational and thoughtful. Its clear now that Sarah Palin is a career politician and is not the leader we thought she was. How could she join those groveling and crawling in the dirt begging for Obama stimulus money? How could she? Our Nation and our Constitution are slipping away. What a slap in the face of those Congressional Republicans who had the courage to take a stand against the Obama socialist machine. Darvin Dowdy
PS: you ask, "what were the other strikes against Palin"? Here:  ( link )
