Rudy Giuliani: "Warning! - Steer Clear of Gov. Rick Perry"

A big thanks to Townhall commentator Matt Lewis for his 9/13 spotlight article on Texas Gov. Rick Perry.   Illuminating what we Texans have known for almost a year as the  governors true ambitions.  After Gov. "Good Hair" managed to squeak by and pull off a victory with  less than 39% of the over all vote, he began shortly thereafter  to make it abundantly clear to Texans that they were nothing more to him than a stepping stone up to the next level.   Within less than a month he began a drastic flip/flop on his promise to secure the border and stop illegal immigration.  Then a few months later we knew something was a foul when he issued his "HPV Orders" - an obvious political stunt.    "But why?" many asked?  "He'd just won the election! Why do something so unpopular and controversial?"  Well, it didn't take long to figure out what with the Presidential race almost in full swing.  It was designed to garner National attention, you see?   Gov. Perry coveted Dick Cheney's job!  Of course!  Rick Perry wants that  address of Number One Observatory Circle on his personal stationary so much so that he can taste it.  Forget Texas.   He's got bigger fish to fry.   So the good Governor soon began taking all of his cues from the Bush/Rove White House.  To include the new found and "fun" practice of dis'ing, insulting and ignoring the voting base that got them elected.  The Bush/Rove team being total masters at that practice.  They began teaching their young padawan the dark side.  Ha!  And Governor Good Hair learned.   When Texas legislators tried to block and slow  the Trans Texas Corridor, as the folks of Texas strongly desired, Gov. Perry went against them all and vetoed it.   And most recently Gov. Perry told those of us who want a border fence that what we believe is "idiocy" .   President Bush and Karl Rove were beaming with pride after that statement.  Now lets demonstrate why and how this is such a totally Lisa Nowak form of self-destruction in a political sense for Gov. Perry.  This past 9/1/07 the run-away winner of the Texas Straw Poll, hands down, was none other than the "Father of the Fence" Cong. Duncan Hunter.  What a sharp contrast between the Texas voter and Gov. Rick Perry.  If the governors election were held today, Perry would have zero chance.

My message to Rudy Giuliani:  If the Matt Lewis piece is correct, I advise you, Rudy,  to stay clear of Rick Perry.  Now let me preface this by saying that I am not a "Rudy supporter".  I differ with you on a few issues. And I strongly support the above mentioned Duncan HunterBut Rudy, I like you Dude I enjoyed the way you went on the attack after Hillary.  You're no shrinking violet.  GOP'rs like myself are so weary of our present door-mat of a President and his disgusting "New Tone" method of dealing with the dem's.   And I can tell you that we get a charge out of watching you lambast the dem's.  And because of this I'm telling you - don't do it.  You're probably thinking that Perry as  your VP candidate might help secure Texas.  NO!  Just the opposite.  (but you're correct to be worried about Texas)  Perry will link you directly to the Bush/Rove/WSJ/U.S. Chamber wing of the GOP.   And they are Persona Non Grata.  Believe it.  This segment of the GOP Hierarchy are despised by the Reagan Democrats, the true independents and middle Americans.   Those that have boosted the behind of the GOP up and over the top for 2 and a half decades.   The GOP Hierarchy has insulted them  continuously.  Many in this voting block have become exasperated and have dropped out of the process.  Others have protest voted for some 3rd party nut.   Give it some thought Rudy.  Don't be too hasty.   Steer clear of Rick Perry.  You can do better.  That is if you manage, by some miracle,  to get by Duncan Hunter in the primaries. Ha!               Darvin Dowdy

Duncan Hunter on Columbia University

We must get behind Duncan Hunter on this.  Nothing less than cutting all federal aid and funding from Columbia University.  We must send a message to the radical anti-American left.   Here's Hunters press release from Saturday 9/22/07:

"To host the leader of Iran when he supports terrorists that are moving deadly roadside bombs across the Iraqi border to be used against American troops is a slap in the face for the entire 165,000 men and women in Iraq and to those that have served before them," said Hunter.

"If President Lee Bollinger follows through with this hosting of the leader of Iran, I will move in Congress to cut off every single type of Federal Funding to Columbia University. If the left-wing leaders of academia will not support our troops, they, in the very least, should not support our adversaries."

"This event, following the slanderous action of MoveOn.org, depicting General Petraeus as "General Betray Us," in the New York Times represents the emergence of the extreme left-wing in American politics."

Concluding, "I think it is time for the Democrat party to denounce this fringe element in their party," said Hunter.

Way to go Duncan Hunter!  Gosh I love this guy.  It appears that Columbia got just under a half billion (with a B) federal dollars in 2005 ( link ).  One can only assume that must've increased both in '06 and '07.  So probably close to $2 Billion in the last 3 years, ya think?  That money could be well used in other pro-American endeavors.  Its time we take back our colleges and universities from the left.  Its hard to believe that many of the old ivy league universities were once Christian institutions ( link ) and were founded to teach in depth Biblical studies.  Now they've become nothing less than left-wing, anti-American, brain-washing, propaganda factories.  We send our children to get an education but instead they get indoctrinated.  Look at our own President!  A rabid open borders globalist from Yale!  If our nation is to survive we need to either take back control of these institutions of so called "higher learning" or shut them down and start new ones.  Time to shut 'em down and start over and insist on a certain level of behavior from both the students and faculty.

This is the first volley in the Take Back Our Universities War.   David Horowitz has been battling alone for a long time on this very front.  I strongly urge all who read this to go, immediately, to their Congresspersons and both Senators website and then urge them to vigorously and vocally get behind Duncan Hunter on this issue.          Darvin Dowdy

Hey Duncan Hunter - A Voice Crying Out (to You) from the Wilderness

As your self-appointed consultant, it is my job to let you know that there is a grand opportunity for you.  First, I want to remind you of something I wrote to you  before.  About the recognition and pursuit of  specific blocks of potential voters. Letting these groups know that you are, first aware of them and their set of particular problems and second that you genuinely care about them.  Remember?  No!  Well please review: ( link ).   After all, sir, with all due respect, these people aren’t going to come to you.  Recognition and pursuit!  You must go to them.

This past week one of these “blocks” surfaced and their elected leader cried out for help.  When I heard of this not so veiled plea I immediately knew in my gut that the only person that could possibly help these people would be Duncan Hunter.  This organization – The International Brotherhood of Teamsters.   Their leader – James P. Hoffa.   Their dilemma:  the Bush administration standing on the Mexican Border waving in ragged, unsafe, polluting Mexican trucks giving them a “high five” as they drive across the bridge headed into the American heartland.  Also, no telling what kind of person is behind the wheel of this Mexican death wagon.  Certainly one that will work for far less.   And to demonstrate their brazen arrogance, the Bush administration begins this policy on the Labor Day weekend!   As Mr. Hoffa pointed out in the radio interview with G. Gordon Liddy ( link )  “what a slap in the face to the American Worker”.   Sir, I do recommend that you listen to this radio interview.  And the interview with WND’s Jerome Corsi also on the above link.

The Teamsters are rallying pitifully, trying to bring some kind of lawsuit.   Which probably won’t get any traction.  But what choice do they have?  They must at least try.  Who else can they turn to?  Its not like the glory days of the 1980’s  when the Teamsters had President Reagan’s leadership to fall back on.  Because, as I’m sure you remember, the Teamsters did endorse Ronald Reagan twice for President!  But, of course,  George W. Bush is no Ronald Reagan, now is he?  Ronald Reagan would never have slung the vicious insults at the GOP voting base as George Bush has.

Duncan, as your self-appointed consultant, I strongly urge you, at the soonest possible opportunity to get yourself into a room with a telephone and make every effort to contact Mr. James P. Hoffa .   Let him know that in a Duncan Hunter administration there would be no such Mexican trucks streaming across the border.   Remind him that once the 854 mile fence is built and existing immigration laws are, again, seriously enforced that the wages of U.S. workers will begin to rise.   Make him aware of your other stances on bringing back factories and  manufacturing jobs.  Let him know also, that in a Duncan Hunter administration that the “out to lunch” sign would be taken off of the front door of the Department of Labor and that once the cobwebs were cleaned out of the offices, this DoL agency would once again be effective and helpful to the American worker.  And Duncan, do not hang up that telephone until you have the Teamsters Union endorsement.

There is a deep fissure developing between the Rank and File union member and its leadership over the illegal immigration issue.  The Union leadership is for open borders.  All they can see, in their greed and lust for power  is the increased numbers paying increased union dues.  However, the Rank and File aren’t stupid.  They see the inevitable decreased wages and increased competition for jobs with people that aren’t even American citizens.  And they don’t like it.   This rift bubbled to the surface last year when Sen. McCain spoke to a group of AFL-CIO members.  He thought he was before a sympathetic audience but when he started with his tripe about illegals doing jobs Americans won’t do,   Sen. McCain was soundly boo’ed!   Almost forced to leave the stage.

Duncan, this major split between Union Leadership and the Rank and File members is a gift for you.  Its like you’re walking down the street and you look down – there’s  $100. bill.  Pick it up!  You could own the Union/Blue Collar vote considering your existing positions on China Trade, the Border Fence, bringing back manufacturing jobs, etc.   And that without compromising any conservative standards or principles.  To include the secret ballot position.   You can bet that the Rank and File want nothing to do with that, either.  Doing away with the secret ballot is something that only the Union Leadership and the DNC want.

How to proceed.  Start with the Teamsters. Go full tilt to get their endorsement. Start this week on that initiative, please sir!  Next, seek out other possible endorsements from moderate unions.  But in the end its going to come down to reaching the rank and file members. Getting your message to them.  That’s approximately 12% of American workers or about 15.4 million.  I have no doubt that most would respond positively to your message and positions.  The trick is, how to get your message to them.   As your self-appointed consultant, I believe that if these folks heard, in the next few weeks, that the Brotherhood of Teamsters had  endorsed Duncan Hunter for President,  that would immediately pique their interest.  To the extent that they might seek out information about you or visit your website.  And by that time there might be a page on your site dedicated to the Union Rank and File members and why they should support Duncan Hunter.  Right?  My question being, why isn’t there already one?

One more little “sticky” item here, sir.  For far too long the President and Karl Rove have been slinging insults toward the GOP Base.  That same Base that boosted “W’s” behind over the top in both 2000 and 2004.  Not to mention the 2002 mid-terms.  Huge insults!  Like implying that the Minutemen were vigilantes. ( link1 ).  And lets not forget the continued insult from the President that the illegals are here to do the jobs Americans won’t do. A huge insult to the American worker. ( link2 )  Recently the President openly ridiculed those in the Base that are concerned about the possibility  of a North American Union being formed. ( link3 )  And then this past week – the supreme insult of opening up the U.S. highways to Mexican Trucks on Labor Day Weekend! ( link4 )  And this names only a few of the steady stream of insults.  Its long past time that one of the Presidential candidates begin the process of offering the Base an apology on behalf of the President and the RNC.   The GOP voting Base is due an apology.    Several apologies.  How significant and absolutely cool it would be if my candidate, Duncan Hunter, would begin that healing process and start offering some of these apologies to the Base on behalf of the arrogant, misguided GOP Hierarchy that has trashed our Grand Old Party.   Darvin Dowdy

Belligerent Russia - Blame Only Our State Department

Great appreciation to Gateway Pundit for their article on the 3rd anniversary of the Beslan School Massacre.  Wouldn’t it have been good to have heard reporting of this on Fox News?  But all we heard was more on Senator Craig’s public mensroom, foot tapping adventures.   It was on September 1, 2004 that Chechen Islamic Jihadists stormed a public elementary school.  Fifty six hours later 186 children lay dead, riddled with the  bullets from these members of the religion of peace.  During those 56 hours of captivity – unspeakable things happened.  Read the Gateway Pundit article but be prepared for a sobering experience.

Recently U.S./Russian relations have, tragically, deteriorated.  The Russians have displayed a pitiful belligerence of late. ( link )   Trying to return to their days of splendor I suppose.  Its not really working for them but they feel their back is up against the wall.  Because when Russia needed a friend following the Beslan School massacre all they got was a pointy finger from the self-righteous U.S. State Department warning them to “use restraint” and not to “pull back from democracy”.    Despicable.  The only response to the Russians should have been to fly our SecState over immediately and offer any help they might need in bringing the responsible parties to justice.  Letting them know that we stood with them in solidarity.   Instead we’ve blocked them and opposed them every inch of the way.  Imposing our self righteous human rights standards upon them.  Hamstringing them -  as we are.  Well, of course, they would have none of it.  Can you imagine what kind of friend and ally we would have had?  Instead we gave them this: ( link ).   We were wrong.

Riddle of the Day:

How does Alexander Litvinenko fit into all of this?  Do you remember the good looking,  sandy haired, blue eyed former Russian Spy who died from a lethal dose of polonium-210?  Administered, indirectly, by Vlad Putin?  And how was he connected to the Chechen monsters who murdered the Beslan School children?  And he most certainly was linked to them!  You know the MSM has made a hero and martyr out of this evil jihadist.

Get another perspective by reading this post I made on 12/10/06“U.S. and Brits – Get Off Your High Horse and Get Off Putins Back”   Here:  ( link )  Thanks.  Darvin Dowdy

Hey Duncan Hunter - "sic transit gloria mundi". Ok?

As a self-appointed consultant to the Duncan Hunter campaign, I must advise my client that he should go forth and celebrate his enormous victory in the Texas Straw Poll .  And go ahead -  take Sunday and Monday off, too.    But come Tuesday morning – time to get back to work.   Fame is fleeting.  According to the latest info I have, you still only have about $213K cash on hand, as of  July 30th.  That’s not enough to do what needs to be done and it’s the lowest of all the GOP candidates.  Considerable lower.   A pitiful amount!  No resting on your laurels, sir.   Your campaign needs an infusion of BIG CASH for TV spots, etc.  We all know that when folks hear you speak and realize what kind of candidate and person you are, they respond.  Very positively.  Problem is, there are still far too many out there who, sadly, have not heard of you.  You need TV ad spots and 30 minute info-mercials produced and we need to get this info out before these people who, mostly, are sitting in front of their tubes w/a remote in one hand and a ham sandwich in the other.  But again, that’s going to take some green backs.  And as your self-appointed consultant, it is my job to tell you where to get this windfall.  It is out there!

Now I’m sure that because of all the intense preparations in getting ready for the Texas Straw, you probably forgot to have someone on your staff contact AILAAs I advised you weeks ago!  Yes you remember I pointed out that the Immigration Attorneys stand to do very well in a Hunter Administration?  Because of the fact that only legal immigrants will be allowed in the country and there will be a huge demand for HB1, HB2 and other types of visa’s?  And a Hunter Administration will turn to the private sector for help?  Do you remember?  No!  Well here: ( linkPlease read it again.  You know AILA has over 10K members?  Lets see - 10K X $2300 =  $23Mil.  Ok? What if I’m half wrong?  Only $11.5 mil.  That might buy some media time for you, huh?  I can tell you the Immigration Attorneys have suffered and would be "beholden" to Hunter if he could turn things around for them.  AILA would be a good place to start.  Lets  get on the  phone and make an appointment!

As your consultant its my job to determine who else would benefit from a Hunter Admin.   In a Hunter Administration there would be no tolerance for employers who employ illegal immigrants, right?   And violators would be vigorously pursued and prosecuted.  Correct?  So large, medium and small company HR departments would be quaking in their boots.  Scared silly.  Looking for help.  They’d turn to the Hunter Admin for help and the Hunter Admin would do what?  You got it – turn to the private sector as a good Reagan conservative should do.  And in this case they would turn to PEO’s.   Professional Employer Organizations.  Such as Mercer HR or Administaff.   Such companies would  “prosper” tremendously during a Hunter administration because they  would make themselves available to HR departments offering them a “screening service” of potential employees to insure that the individual was, indeed, in country legally.  And offering some kind of guarantee.  And they would be certified by the Federal Government to do so.  They’d most likely charge $__?_.  per head to do this.  Ha!  So these PEO’s  would no doubt be enthusiastic about a President Duncan Hunter in the White House as their stock price would climb nicely because of Hunter policies.  And, of course, there is an association of these PEO’s that might be approachable and helpful.  The NAPEO.  The National Association of Professional Employer Org’s.  Again, we’ve got to contact these people asap, Duncan.  There’s really no time to waste.

So, you ask, what if neither of these associations wants anything to do with Duncan Hunter?  AILA, you point out, has always leaned democrat.   Well, sure, I agree and that possibility might make our job a bit more difficult.  Then we will be forced to acquire a list of the individual members.  And go direct to them. These members would be the actual business owners or CEO’s who have to pay the overhead, meet payroll and bring in new business to keep  their companies afloat.  No doubt they will greet any help they can get from  the Hunter Administration with enthusiasm and vigor.  And, of course, if we have to go direct to the individual members, we’ll need to ask some of Hunters Rangers to step up and volunteer to stuff envelopes, etc.   Its do-able.  It’d be just a small speed bump in the road.

So Duncan this gives you a couple of “leads” here to work on starting on September 4th.  Nothing ventured nothing gained, right?  You know, I ‘d think you should have someone within your organization who could sit down and draft correspondence  to each of these org’s on DH stationary, explaining the potential.   These are 2 very wealthy groups that would most likely help you.  Duncan you have some fantastic momentum starting out this week.  We need to keep that momentum in play and that includes all facets of your campaign.

Also, I hope that the GOPr's around the nation, the GOP Hierarchy and the RNC take notice of your Texas victory and understand that Texans will not simply accept just any GOP nominee this go-around.  If the GOP fails to nominate the correct  candidate then Texas Goes Blue in ’08.  And all 34 of her electoral votes will go to the dem’s.  This Texas Straw Poll result is a warning shot over the bow of the RNC.  They’d best take note and not take Texas and its 34 electoral votes for granted.  Darvin Dowdy
