Sarah honey, Strike 3. You're Out!

Palin and the GOP governors gave Pres. Obama exactly what he wanted.  He can now place a brand on his Stimulus Package, "Bipartisan Support". We are now co-owners of this boondoggle whereas before the democrats owned it.
Sarah, Signing on with the Obama Stimulus push and shoving a knife in the back of Congressional Republicans who united against it, well it  would make John McCain proud...

Whats the old saying - 3 strikes and you're out? So be it. Sadly, I must withdraw my support for her. This was the final blow:

This news took the breath out of me. I felt betrayed.   Many a conservative stood up and cheered as Congressional Republicans locked shields last week and voted unanimously against the stimulus program. And now we find that Sarah is there, operating in back rooms trying to undermine their valiant efforts! Shameful. I have, for several months, been seeing evidence that Sarah is actually masquerading as a conservative. Apparently she is more like John McCain than I wanted to believe. With her embracement of the green movement and acceptance of the man-made global warming hoax, here:

The conservative Base wants a leader with backbone. Someone who'll oppose these radical environmental whacko's, not become one of them. Another reason for the GOP losses on 11/7/06 and 11/4/08. Do these people ever learn? I thought we'd found a leader in Sarah Palin.

And Sarah claimed to be for the working person. That turned out to be another bit of fakery. She has taken the GOP's hard line when it comes to the flaws within Nafta that will result in the evaporation of millions of U.S. Truck driving jobs:

 http://www.teamsarah.org/profiles/blogs/sarah-please-support-us

Simply because they're too proud and too blind to admit that there are certain aspects of Nafta that must be adjusted. So Sarah, what happened to Joe Six Pack the truck driver?

Its so tragic to have to confront the facts. There is just too much evidence pointing to the reality that Sarah is just another elitist, GOP operative. Sarah and McCain - cut from the same cloth. She’s smooth. She’s slick and she fooled us all.

I totally expect an avalanche of negative reaction/comments. I ask those who read this, in your support of Sarah Palin, are you being governed by your emotions? As a result of this have you lost your objectivity? This is no time for right thinking Americans to lose their ability to be rational and thoughtful. Its clear now that Sarah Palin is a career politician and is not the leader we thought she was. How could she join those groveling and crawling in the dirt begging for Obama stimulus money? How could she? Our Nation and our Constitution are slipping away. What a slap in the face of those Congressional Republicans who had the courage to take a stand against the Obama socialist machine. Darvin Dowdy

Rush Limbaugh Takes a "Hit" on Behalf of the GOP Base

This past week John McCain’s former campaign boss, Rick Davis, attacked the GOP Base, indirectly. Too cowardly to be outwardly critical of the 59.9 million voters, Davis, instead, used Rush Limbaugh as a whipping boy, knowing Limbaugh’s popularity w/the GOP Base. Davis says, " the Rush Limbaugh’s of the world who, you know, literally almost feed the nativist attitude toward immigration reform, what do you think the Hispanic voter, the Latino voter is gonna remember?” Of course blaming “the Limbaugh’s of the world” instead of facing the fact that he and other McCain advisers/strategists/consultants did an absolutely lousy job. Not to mention John McCain, himself. So its all Limbaugh’s fault, huh? Actually the wording “Limbaugh’s of the world” describes all of conservative talk radio.   But the real jab from the arrogant Davis is really directed toward those who “were fed the nativist attitude”. We, the Base. So in Mr. Davis’ eyes we’re all nativists or racists. He is branding us as racists, in essence. (yep, the race card). Not “the Limbaugh’s of the world”. This attack is aimed at us.   Of course the brand of nativism would be directed towards someone who hates and works against all immigrants. And that description in no way describes the GOP Base and Davis know’s it. But the guy can’t blame himself for the massive GOP failure of 11/4/08. No he has to blame us and he accuses us of something we have not been guilty of! Once again trying, unsuccessfully, to fuse together the issue of legal and illegal immigration. Two completely separate issues and he knows it! Shameful. Disgustingly shameful.   But what should one expect from a Washington insider, lobbyist who was also involved heavily in the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac meltdown

Almost equally as shameful and also a not so subtle direct attack/insult toward the GOP Base, were the comments George W. Bush made this same week. He also accuses the base of being “viewed as anti-immigrant” and says we should be “…open minded…”.   Of course this sort of insult slinging toward the Base is nothing new. Fortunately, we’ve become callous/thick skinned having been on the receiving end of a constant stream of insults from the Bush/Rove team since 1/21/05. But lets make no mistake, even though spoken in soft tones and with a congenial smile, this is nothing less that deliberate and direct poke in the eye of the Base from Bush.   He loved doing it and could not contain himself. And you must know that he relished the omitting of the word “illegal” from the immigrant discussion. What a shameful way for Mr. Bush to make his exit. Very sad, indeed.   He will leave a legacy of insulting those who put him in power.

This is fascinating, however. The fact that 2 of the heaviest hitters in the GOP elite hierarchy took time out of their busy schedules to attack the Base on this so-called “immigration issue”.   This should let us all know that even though they were successful in getting this issue subdued and diminished during the campaign, they do realize that this exact issue alone is what sunk their boat on 11/4/08. They know deep down in their gut and can’t run from the reality of it. They know that 10-20 million Civic Conservatives, former GOP voters, were driven away on election day. They’re beginning to see that they’ve been dead wrong in they’re thinking that the Hispanic Vote would somehow save the GOP.   The way over-rated Hispanic Vote.

What is happening here is that these elitists are finally beginning to see that it is their failure, miscalculation and poor judgment that is the reason for the GOP losses on both 11/7/06 and 11/4/08. Yet their arrogance will not allow them to admit it, hence the attacks on us. The voters. The Base. They have to blame someone don’t they?    Darvin Dowdy

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce - Promoter of Crime

So there it is. Illegal immigration problem solved! Because the E-verify program is said to be about 99.9% accurate.   If there are no jobs for illegal immigrants, they’ll simply pack up and go home, right? Wrong. Because the E-Verify Program is – voluntary! Not mandatory!   With the exception of 2 states – Mississippi and Arizona who require all employers to use it. And to my grand surprise, President Bush had issued an executive order requiring federal contractors/sub-contractors to use the E-Verify Program in all hiring. I’d like to give the President an at-a-boy “but” instead I’ll ask why he didn’t do this years ago? Too late, Mr. President. Your legacy is already in the dumpster regarding our Nations sovereign borders. You’ve been irresponsible to the extreme. I digress. So here we are on the verge of requiring some of the absolute worst violators to go from employee to employee using this fantastic database in order to “verify” if the employee is here working legally in this nation. And this was set to kick-off on January 15th/09.   It just sounds too good to be true! I have relatives and friends who would love to have some of those high-paying construction jobs. This will be great for them!

Not so fast. You see there is this seditious organization called the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, headed up by a non-patriot named Thomas Donohue and one of his lieutenant thugs named Randel JohnsonThey took it upon themselves to file a lawsuit blocking the requirement of E-Verify. Stopped the entire process dead in its tracks. Here’s how the USCoC responded: “The DHS intends to expand E-Verify on an unprecedented scale in a very short timeframe, and to impose liability on government contractors who are unable to comply,” said Mr. Johnson, vice president of Labor, Immigration and Employee Benefits at the U.S. Chamber. “Given the current economy, now is not the time to add more bureaucracy and billions of dollars in compliance costs to America’s businesses.”

Given the current 7.2% unemployment, Mr. Johnson, this is the ideal time to return these jobs to U.S. citizens in dire need of them!   And Heaven forbid that we “impose liability” on people who are knowingly breaking our Nations laws! This is long overdue. So it is obvious that Tom Donohue and Randy Johnson are advocating the continued breaking of the law. Openly advocating it and using our own Federal Courts in order to promote it!! The absolute brazen arrogance of these 2. But this is nothing new for them. They’ve been working diligently to subvert our immigration laws and keep the southern border open and porous for many years. In January 2006 Cong. James Sensenbrenner – R, WI said this about Donohue, Johnson and the U.S. Chamber: “…they should be ashamed of themselves. What they are doing is saying that it is ok to use fake social security numbers.” And, he continued, “If they continue promoting speeches by Mexican government officials then maybe they ought to register as an agent of a foreign government, under the law”.   And Randel Johnson responded to Cong. Sensenbrenner with this untruthful statement: “the chamber does not and never has condoned the use of fake social security numbers.” (ha! Right.) And then he continued with this, “we recognize that improved workplace verification is necessary…”. The absolute gall! And this was just 3 short years ago. Of course the GOP has now lost control of the house and we now see the U.S. Chamber filing a lawsuit trying to block the very “improved workplace verification” that Mr. Johnson said was necessary just 3 short years ago. So this is proof that they have an agenda, they lie and they want to protect business that are knowingly breaking the law by hiring illegal immigrants. Its obvious. The U.S. Chamber wants the continued and uninterrupted supply of cheap labor flowing across the southern border and they are fighting like devil dogs to keep the status quo.

And speaking of their fighting tactics, any good GOP politician knows not to cross Donohue and the U.S. Chamber. Because the USCoC is funnels millions into the GOP. Those funds have been the life’s blood of many a Republican candidate at the federal, state and local level.  In 2005 Donohue openly and publicly threatened any lawmaker that opposed CAFTA, telling them, “It’ll cost you!”.

And neither should we expect Donohue, Johnson and the U.S. Chamber to stay loyal to the GOP. No, you cross the U.S. Chamber, even a little, and they will turn on you. Donohue and crew are already sucking up to Obama subtly, saying, “…the Chamber hopes to play a constructive role in the transition to an Obama presidency”.    And most heinous example of Donohue and the Chambers ability to pat you on the back one minute and stab you in the back the next is their partnering with none other than the ACLU!   Against Pres. Bush and the Department of Homeland Security on this E-Verify Program implementation. It must have left Pres Bush stunned. Especially when his old SPP “buddy”, Donohue, stuck the knife in deep and twisted the blade.

Additionally, the GOP has depended on the U.S. Chamber for a majority of its funding. The U.S. Chamber represents approximately 3 million business’s. We could write to our favorite business and ask them to sever ties with the U.S. Chamber and explain to them why they should not be connected with an org that promotes criminal activity. And we can ask our elected GOP Rep’s (if we have them) to stop accepting any money funneled from these 3 million business’s through the U.S. Chamber. That money is tainted with blood. The U.S. Chamber is a criminal organization. It promotes illegal immigration and the use of fake social security numbers. It will deny that but any criminal will always eloquently plead his/her own case. Conservatives and the GOP must make a clean break from this criminal org “or” see the U.S. Chamber dump Donohue and Johnson and mend its ways. Lets get these 2 loose cannons out and return he US Chamber to the prestigious org it once was!   That is not likely to happen.

I don’t agree w/Lou Dobb’s on certain issues (such as Israel) but when it comes to the illegal immigration issues/border security no one is more passionate and eloquent. And right! I’m going to end this post with a link to a CNN Video of Dobb’s speaking this past week on the Chambers opposition to E-Verify. ( LINK )    I urge all to sit down immediately and write their elected state and federal representatives. At the state level ask them why they haven’t made it a state law that all employers must use the E-Verify Program. And to your congress person and senators, urge them to support the President and DHS’s efforts to require all federal contractors and sub-contractors to use the E-Verify Program. And all U.S. employers. Darvin Dowdy
